Our 5* PADI diving centers “Blue Ocean” are located at Abu Dabbab and Shoni Bay, Marsa Alam. We are happy to offer our professional services and be your gate into the blue. Our prime location which is in Abu Dabbab (Hilton), gives access to more than 35 dive sites, among them, the very famous Elphinstone Reef that can be reached in only 20 minutes by speedboat. Divers of every level, from beginner to professional, will enjoy a unique diving experience from the shore, by daily boat or speedboat. Unlimited diving is possible at our beautiful house reef. Transfer from all hotels in the area are included in our diving packages. Not a diver yet, or want to take the next step in your underwater experience? With us you can do all scuba diving courses from Open Water Diver to Divemaster. Come as a guest, leave as a friend ! We are proud that clients of Hilton Nubian Resort Marsa Alam and Paradise Club Shoni Bay can explore those bays together with us!

Very good and quite big Diving Center. I dived with them for a few days (diving package and dolphin house trip) and I strongly recommend their services. Professional and very polite staff with high quality equipment and excellent organization. They take into account the divers' skills and have no problem with flexible adjustment of the offer. Great location for the best diving sites. You can see so much, even during one dive (sharks, dolphins, sea cow and other living). I am impressed by the competence, goodwill and organization.
This center is also good quality and price competitive for water trips not only for divers.

We took 2 day trips with Blue Ocean diving center in Abu Dabab , Marsa Alam, just few days ago. Captain Magdy and his staff were perfect, professional and efficient. We went to Sharm el Luli beautiful beach an el Qulaan mangrove national park in a day trip. They were perfectly prepared in timing, providing water and drinks, guiding for snorkeling and finally an unexpected perfectly cooked 5 course lunch at Tondoba restaurant by the sea. They organized another day trip to Hamata islands by boat after almost two hours drive to the port. The trip was perfectly planned and executed. Mr Magdy was always responding and helpful and provided the answers for the many questions I had in my mind. The field staff; Ahmad , Islam and Sasha were helpful, caring and nice. Ahmad provided useful tips to make the most of the day, he even lended me his own snorkel when I lost mine jumping in the sea. Definitely I will have my activities with them when I am in Marsa Alam again.

I am not a diver but my husband dive with them for a week with the private guide on both day and night trips, and as per him it was the best diving trip he has ever done. I also joined the trip to search for Dugong and we were lucky to find one. It was an amazing experience.
We stayed one week at Hilton in Marsa Alam and walked to the Dive Center (it was 10 mins walk from the Hilton beach). The place has the safe and secure locker so my husband kept his equipment in the locker and not have to carry them back and forth everyday which is a big plus.
All the staff I have come in contact with are polite and helpful. I highly recommend this dive center for your Marsa Alam dive.

Blue Ocean crew went above and beyond to make sure everyone was safe and accommodate everyone’s needs (from 4-year old to 55 year old). They tried to get us close to see the dolphins but unfortunately, they never came close enough. So they took us snorkeling. The boat ride was rough because it was windy but they did their best. The next day, they saw my group on the beach so they sent with us one of their experts to show us the massive tortoises near the beach (and they did not charge us for it). They even went down to video tape the turtles for us. The lunch food was really good

My son took the PADI course and additional snorkelling and diving tours from the Blue Ocean Abu Dabbab dive center. The instructor was so great, patient, helpful, that my son was enthusiastic about the course and the diving. We also enjoyed the snorkelling and diving trips from them.
I want to strongly recommend the services of the center. After I experienced their services I say they are worth much more than what the services cost.

I have advance open water certificate, and all what I asked for is not have a reef dive.
The center insisted to make a refresh dive then said it is a check dive.
In both cases, I find this ridiculous as my last dive was two month ago and there is no rules in padi requiring such an dive.
I had to go twice to the center , first time to an employee then the center manager or owner showed up. They were polite but with no logical explanation.
They just wanted to make more money I guess!
I did declined and left.

Without any prior experience with diving I took an Open Water Diver course, later on we also took Advanced OWD course. The staff of the diving center was always very helpful and nice. The equipment was very good and well maintained. We were given an exceptionally good instructor Mimmo (highly recommend him). You can see right away that he has a lot of experience, is a very good teacher, and is also very patient. He always explained everything to us on the shore before the dive, then showed us everything again in the water and then had us do it. We always felt very safe and knew what was going to happen (no confusions), but at the same time we always had a lot of fun and enjoyed our time. We are already planning to come back.

Diving for open water people, not for experienced.
They don't balance group respect certification level.
Elphistone dive really non make how they manage it . Basically you have to wake up at 4:30 to stay in 10 mt to try to see one or two longimanus shark .That's is not a diving.
They don't tell you nothing in advance how they will manage Elphistone diving.
You have to take on the shoulder tank wheigh and all equipement for several metter on the beach.
Really not make sense you have to pay and they don't help!!!!!!!!
For Hilton is unconfortable be aware you have to walk for 1,2 km if you are close the central Hilton nubian swimming pool. If you have light, camera you have to walk a lot.
Is expensive for the services provide. For the easy typology of the dive they propose they propose is better to make snorkeling you can see turtle even dugongo and the south/north coral reef.
They repeat only same security rule that evrebody knows, but you have to walk with all heavy equipement on the beach with high risk to fall.
The most dangerous diving part is when they bring you with speed boat because they go really fast on the waves you risk to break your arm, leg or head......
The only accetable dive site is Shaab 5 all others not make sense. They don't put any passion on the diving activities is simply routine. They look time to close the day!

This is the second time have dived with Blue Ocean Divers. The place was much busier than two years ago (in the midst of the corona pandemic). Nevertheless, the dive center was as well organized as last time and the dives were fun. While I was traveling alone, I recommend Abu Dabbab and Blue Ocean also for families as it offers shallow dives with great sea turtle views for beginners, the local Abu Dabbab reefs for intermediate divers as well as access to Elphinstone reef for more experienced divers. Altogether, a great diving experience. My thanks go out especially to the whole team, especially guides Khalid and Ahmad!

I was dreaming about diving for many years, but honestly I had no idea about diving. I decided to try diving in Marsa Alam and chosen PADI Open Water Certificate course. First lesson was a little difficult but with our instructor Ali I felt safe. He was very patient, calm and explained me all details. During next lessons my skills was better and I felt amaizing. We sae a lot of fish, coral reef, turtles and much much more. All of that was one of the most beautiful views I have evere seen. Equipment in Blue Ocean was very good, we had no problems with it during diving. In general that experience was much more than I dreamt of. I will continue diving for sure ☺

Unfortunately to visit Elphinstone is possible just for divers.
There are no possibilities to make snorkeling in Elphinstone reef.

Yes, 5 mm is ok for winter time in Marsa. The price is 22€ per dive. Check our websites (blueocean-eg) where you can learn more about the courses and dives we offer.
