TGI Diving in Marsa Alam is a good organized diving center. The rental equipment was in great shape. The stuff is very helpful and overall professional. Hosny is a great guide who does an extraordinary good job, especially for beginners. The house riff is beautiful but I can highly recommend signing up for the speed boat trips into the national park.
Four stars because online booking was annoying and didn‘t work and it was not possible to simply pay online prices on site.
As a woman I would feel more comfortable if the diving center would hire more female guides and (some) male guides would stop staring at the female customers while showering after the dives.

I was at the Gorgonia Beach Resort for 10 days in May 2024 and did 12 dives with TGI Diving, as it is the diving school that is located on the hotel grounds.
I had a great time with the guys from TGI, I would especially like to mention: Hani (is he the manager or one of the managers? I don't know, Hani is a great person, very relaxed, professional and very friendly and he speaks SUPER English and German), then there was Mourad, with whom I booked and paid for the dives and with whom I had interesting, in-depth conversations about God and the world. And of course the two dive instructors Aiman and Gio. I dived with Aiman the most and he is so good at his job and professional that he manages to calm nervous divers like me down immediately just with his calm aura. I had a lot of fun with the guys from TGI Diving and I felt very, very safe at all times. The guys from TGI are all incredibly friendly, patient and very, very warm!! Safety first mentality and detailed briefings are the "trademarks" of this diving school under Italian-Egyptian management.
The guys all speak great English and Italian, some also speak German and a little French.
The diving school is located right on the great hotel beach and house reef, which is ideally accessible via a jetty. Above all, the staff on the jetty are very friendly and helpful.
As I only have a diving mask/dive computer/shoes and fins, I borrowed the rest of the equipment and the condition of the equipment is excellent!
I have gained a lot of experience worldwide with the different diving centers in the world. TGI Diving is right at the top of the ranking of the best schools with which I have done my fun dives!

After I did my OWD with diving instructor Mostafa in 2022 (German speaking), we came back this year to dive again with the great team at TGI Marsa Alam. Both in the dive center and on the jetty, everyone is super nice, hard-working and helpful. In addition to house reef dives, many different diving trips (full day and half day) are offered, which are explained in detail by the team. The organization always worked smoothly. Snorkeling trips are also offered, but we did not use them. Equipment can be rented on site and is of very good quality. A lot of emphasis is placed on safety.
We had wonderful days diving, will definitely come back and look forward to seeing familiar faces on the team!

We had booked a package, with many excursions, including boat tours, but where we generally had to pay as there are currently no excursions with the normal boat. Only speedboat and that was subject to an extra charge.
At the house reef we could only dive with a guide as my dive partner had under 20 dives. But the guide was not interested in everything. He didn't ask how many dives we've had. The result was that the third dive was too deep and too long and led to compression sickness, but this was not recognized by the dive base.
There were differences in the final settlement
you could calculate it well for the customer or for the company. So we had paid more and a discussion with the office worker was not possible as she was not willing to talk to me.
Contact with the head office was also unsuccessful. You won the dispute and you lost a customer. TGE won't see me again.

I rate the TGI diving center in CasaMare. 2 have completed the OWD and were very well looked after. In general, we were given a very warm welcome and everyone felt extremely comfortable. Equipment is well looked after and there are enough helpers to wash it. Dives were extremely relaxed and even with photographers. Since the daughter only snorkels, she sometimes had her own guides on the trips and we were very well looked after whether under, on or above water.
The boats for the trips were large, sometimes there were other divers on board. The food was plentiful and delicious.
Everyone at the diving center contributed to us having a great vacation with lots of impressions and no wish was left unfulfilled, except that the vacation was too short.
Special thanks go to Omar, Hany, Mohamed and Lulu. Eva and Max miss you.

Our Boys (10 and 11 years)did the padi open water certification and succeeded thanks to Captain Ayman! ALL the staff is friendly and professional. We did the Dolphine motorboat trip twice with departure directly from the jetty. It was amazing! Would recommend to anyone who wants to feel safe underwater! We will come back!

I did the Nitrox and the AOWD in the two weeks we were here. And participated in many beautiful, well-organized excursions.
Here everyone is super eager to make every dive an experience.
A huge thanks to the whole crew from the Diving Center and to Ahmed "our" guide

Together with some members of our diving club, we went scuba diving in the house reef. What a beautiful sight! Our guide, Hosny took us for a check dive and showed us all the beauty of the house reef. I went diving with him a couple times more and, as a beginner diver, he really made sure I was comfortable and every dive went better and better! We also took some boat trips with Shazly and Shebab, which were each time really really fun! Also Uzi took us somewhere a little bit further from the house reef, where you can just walk into the sea, where we saw a very nice ship wreck. The other instructors at the dive center are very helpful and friendly, it really feels like a warm community. We saw sea turtles, dolphins, murenes, stingrays, clownfish, rudibranch, ... it was absolutely amazing and I´d love to go there again!

Excellent organization of the material in general, in particular of the diving equipment, the "5 star" rating, however, is due to the professionalism and passion of the guys who work there. If you choose to do the excursion with the dolphins, Giovanni, the guide, will certainly be able to make you swim with them (they also say he is the best diver in the whole of Egypt, they say...) if instead you intend to do a certification or do a upgrade of yours, what can I say, Mostafa I think is the most professional and passionate person about his profession on this planet, and it shows.
In conclusion Marsa Alam is one of the best places for people who have a passion for the sea and if you come here at Gorgonia, you will not be disappointed by TGI Diving

A presto!!

Grazie e a presto! Raffaella
Written January 24, 2018
Buongiorno Raffaella,
A presto!

Buongiorno
- Marsa Egla (turtle bay)
- Sataya Dolphin Reef
- Hamata Islands
- Sharm El Loly
- Sh’aab Samadai Dolphin House
- Marsa Hermes (Dugong Bay)
- Abu Ghusun (Hamada Wreck).
A presto!
