Great price for 2 rounds of Golf and B&B. Terrific staff and a short taxi ride to town. Blessed with glorious weather as well. Been here 4 years in a row now for our annual tour ...

Can't comment on the golf, but the coffee shop has amazing views over the beach and the coastline. We had a wander along the beach and stopped for coffee / a drink and some cake - perfect location and nice decoration.

Had two rounds of golf with an overnight stay. Golf was very good, the room was excellent with views over the course & Newport Bay. Food was very good and the staff were friendly and very helpful.

We visited the large beach at Newport Sands which is very worth while doing so the sands must be some where in the region of a couple of miles long and when the tide is out it looks truely amazing.

We stopped in the local golf club for a cup of tea as the cafe on the beach front was shut, the tea was ok but at £1.75 a mug its borders on the edge of a rip off!

The golf club is relatively newly built and looks very nice I would imagine if you had paid your green fees then you wouldn't be paying the rip off price for the tea?

The golf club did however offer special holiday beaks where you could stop in one of the newly built golf lodges either on a golf, dinner, bed and breakfast or without the golf for really good low prices and I would imagine you get your tea free!!

Excellent course for £25 a round. Trouble is its £35...

Excellent views of the bay make it worth the trip. Course condition poor to be honest. Daisies on several fairways and irratic cutting of rough.

So an ok day out but not as good as I was expecting.

Also finished round at 3pm. No food after 2.30. How is that sensible? So tee off before 10 is you eat food..

The signage around the course leaves a lot to be desired. The price of £56 for a round is way too much after playing the course. The greens were inconsistent and the course feels like two separate entities stuck together as an afterthought. The changing areas were satisfactory , although nothing special. You really can get a lot more golf for your money if you travel regularly in this area.

This isn't just a golf resort. We booked our wedding several weeks ago, a small family wedding of about 30 people. From the start I cannot say how helpful the staff were especially Amanda who sorted everything out for us. Whatever we wanted to do, whatever time we wanted it done, she and her colleagues would ensure it happened.
The majority of our party stayed 2 nights. We had a family meal the first night and were well looked after.
The accommodation was of a high standard and the cwtch where my wife and I stayed was superb with a lounge on the first floor and views overlooking Newport
bay to die for.
A special mention for James who was our barman on the night and couldn't do enough for us and looked after the children so well. Also the chef who helped reconstruct our wedding cake and provided a superb BBQ for the evening.
I would recommend this as a wedding venue for several reasons especially the views. However for those on a budget the costs were reasonable and the food was great. If you're looking for a place to stay, this is it. Literally 5 minute walk to the beach and 5 minutes drive to town.
The only negative is that there is no wifi in the rooms.

Myself and about 30 of my friends, visit this resort every year as part of a West Wales trip. We played last weekend on a windy, cool but sunny day. The old links back nine was in super condition as usual and the much newer front nine, gets a little better every year, albeit after a slow start. So yes the Golf was great.
We arrived at ten and Coffee and Bacon rolls were a welcome sight on arrival. However the situation was vastly different, when we traipsed in cold and hungry some 5 hours later.
I asked the barmaid for the menu and she replied that they didn't serve food until 5.30 which I found frankly an astonishing way to treat a society.
After one of my friends enquired as well they agreed to make some rolls, half hour later I asked the slightly surly barmaid if they were ready and she said no. I waited another 10 minutes and then being almost overcome by hunger I peered through the glass kitchen door and saw a couple of guys making rolls with at least 20 complete. I enquired again if they were ready and she rather begrudgingly brought some in and said they were not all ready, I replied I only want one. I think she muttered something as she took my money, but I'm not certain.
Anyway Newport Pembs, great Golf, catering could do with a very quick improvement.
Nick.

Last day of my sons hols so we went with him & his wife to lunch at the golf club. A limited menu but very nice though. I had the Welsh cheese & salad sarnie washed down with a pint of pale ale. The service was very good & friendly staff. The views across the course are fantastic.
