Excellent time diving with Marion, Julian, and co. They were good people, friendly under and above water and really kind to give us a separate briefing in English! The dives are spectacular, as you may have guessed to be researching/reading this review, and o2 is an excellent operator. We can only hope to be back soon! Sending you all the best, o2!

Dove one day with them in Fakarava North. They were very friendly, picked me up at resort, and ran a very good operation. The dives were OK, was hoping for more, but that is how diving goes sometimes, but not their fault.

I stayed four nights in Fakarava, and dove with Marion and Thibault and Christine every day. They are very nice and interesting people with excellent diving experience. They run a professional operation with safety as the top priority. I used their equipment which was in great condition. Their boat is very nice with strong ladders, a good canopy for shade, and an excellent Captain! Thank you Captain! We dove in small groups. They really know the area well. There are so many things to see in Fakarava. The picnic lunches and rest spots on the day trips were fabulous! When I return, I will certainly dive with O2 Fakarava again. Thanks for everything!!

My partner and I dived with o2 Fakarava and found everything to be perfect! The instructors are extremely friendly and make you feel so comfortable and safe. They also speak really good English (we dont speak French so this was great!) We are fairly newly qualified open water divers so dont have tons of experience but this dive shop were excellent with us and we felt like we were in great hands throughout all of our dives. Not only that but they helped us and gave us advice and we found that we had improved a lot with our diving by the time we left Fakarava. I would highly recommend this dive company - I dont have a single bad thing to say about them, they are wonderful. Thanks so much!! and if (when) we return we will definitely be diving with o2 Fakarava!!

Fakarava is an amazing place to dive and O2 is a great dive center. I stayed in town or should I say the main village so I could have dove with other shops but this one was recommended to me by another dive shop owner on different island. I also did visit other shops and found O2 to have a very nice equipment and facilities. They were using all new tanks and had great cressi bcd. They had a nice RIB and more importantly a great new ladder not a rusted out Koh Tao special. They will pick you up at your hotel in town. I even stayed at a location in the middle of the island and they even arranged with the hotel to get me to the dive center. I ended up diving with the on two different occasions (8 or so dives) because they impressed me with their dive and service. By the way In Fakarava there is a North pass, bigger and faster drift, close to the airport and town, and a South pass, about a 1 1/2 hour boat ride. I only dove with them on the north pass. People go back and forth on which is a better pass but I think it’s apples and oranges. North is a better drift and south is shark central. In the north pass everyone dives the Alibaba canyon which is a slot that takes you out of the current and puts you in a fish bowl. They time the dive with the incoming current and you jump in at slack and go on the drift as it starts to blow. I actually preferred their other dive which is in full incoming and drifting to a cave of sharks. If you are not into drifts this ain’t the one for you. they have a outside reef dive but I didn’t find it to be very interesting. I found the fast drift dive to be one of the best in Fakarava north or south! We had a divemaster named Marine, what an appropriate name, and she was great. She speaks great English and extremely thoughtful. Unfortunately I think I used more air since she was absolutely gorgeous and my heart was fluttering:). But most importantly she Sheparded us through the quick drift and Didn’t get back on the boat till everyone was onboard safely. Now to be a fair review, O2 at the time didn’t have nitrox but was in the process of getting the equipment so if geezer juice is what you are looking for you will need to go elsewhere for now. I think nitrox would help in the BT for the great second dive in the drift. If you are diving south pass, it’s 1 1-2 hour ride one way so consider this if you are diving with any north pass company, you can for an arm and a leg stay at tetamanu village which is right on south pass which is super convienient. O2 goes down there once in a while so arrange with them to go. I did see that they got a brand new RIB with seats that would make the long ride more comfortable. The only other thing I can say is that during high season with such limited number of dive shops in the area many people were having a hard time walking on, so be sure to reserve your dives if you can. Anyhow if you make it to Fakarava to dive you are gonna have a great dive experience with O2. The owners are friendly accommodating and very professional and will see to it that you have one of the best experiences of your scuba life. Happy diving!
