I and my wife dived with Dive Spirit Fakarava in North Fakarava. I met with Sébastien and Sophyline at the hotel the day before diving. They are very friendly and welcomed warm. They were the best diving center that we ever dived in French Polynesia. We stayed at South Fakarava and dived with another dive center. If I had met Dive Spirit before, I'd rather do day dive trip to South Fakarava with them even if they are far from South Fakarava. Dive center was very clean and equipment was in very good condition. They did their best to make us happy, comfortable and safe. We are sure we will come back and do scuba diving with them again soon.

We used 4 different dive operators on various Tahitian islands and Dive Spirit was the best. Very professional and also chill. We stayed and next-door Snack Kori Kori (lodge) which was also great. We dove the north with them then moved to the south and used different accommodations/operators there for a few days and regretted it. While beautiful down there it would have been much better to dive there with Dive Spirit (albeit w/ a relatively long boat-ride time). They beach their dinghy down there so you can also walk around and experience the south as well.

Jumping off the FP Master liveaboard in Fakarava we had arranged for an extra day of diving in the North pass with Teddy from Dive Spirit. He came to meet us the evening before and the next day we had a great trip with him and his crew. Very good service, fun flying through the channel and they even had lunch for us organized on return. Can highly recommend them when in the North.

An excellent dive operation. Coming off the Oceania cruise ship, we were met at the dock by their rep. The dive shop is about 4km away. Upon arrival we checked in and waited for the tide. The dive briefing was very good and through. We made 2 dives at the North pass. I used their BCD and regulators. The rest of the equipment I had with me. BCD’s were almost new and in excellent condition as were the regulators. The steel tanks minimized the amount of lead you needed. Due to recent storms, the swells were intense as was the current. The boat is an inflatable zodiac that worked well. Perfect concierge diving. The dive masters help each diver into their BCD. When ready, everyone did a back roll into the water. Due to the current, the second dive was negatively buoyant. Get in and get down to the bottom ASAP. Based on the current, the dive sites are not for the inexperienced. There were two dive masters with groups of four. They paid constant attention to all of us. After each dive, you took off your BCD, weight belts and the diver masters and captain lifted them out of the water for you. Doesn’t get much easier than this! At the end of the second dive, those of us from the ship were taken directly to the cruise ship pier due to time limitations. This operation is first class and highly recommended!!

I did 6 dives (2 in the South Pass, 4 in the North Pass) with Dive Spirit on the Te Moana dive pass and couldn't have asked for more. Their gear was in excellent condition, the guides were friendly and were attentive to safety without being overbearing, and the dive shop was great about offering me advice on when to schedule my dives to get the best chance of seeing the famous shark walls. Possibly the best diving experience I've had in 60 some dives - if you're planning to dive in Fakarava, I highly recommend Dive Spirit!
