We ended up having a private tour. We got to see everything we had hope for, sharks, stingrays, coral garden. Manta rays weren’t around but got to see Eagle Rays instead. At coral gardens we saw the biggest eel of our life & we’ve snorkeled in a lot of places around the world. Boat was comfortable, fruit we got was delicious and private island was beautifully tucked out of the wind. Shark Boy took very good care of all our needs. Besides snorkeling we got to see all the different hotels around the island which we enjoyed.

My wife and I read many reviews and picked Shark Boys for our 1st adventure on Bora Bora. We could have booked with our Hotel another tour (cost a lot more), but chose to use Shark Boys. We were able to set up our reservation two weeks before traveling to Bora Bora. Shark Boys was very responding and picked us up at our Resort on the Motu (Intercontinental Thalasso).
We noticed that all the snorkeling tours meet up at the different sites, so the apprehension you might have about going in the water is relieved somewhat by the fact no one else is being eaten by Sharks :-)
Our Captain was "Will". What an amazing man and guide. He brought humor, quick wit and a sense of adventure to our trip.
We first went to the Coral reef to see and swim with the Tropical fish. Will brought food so everyone got that Photo moment surrounded by feeding the fish.
One of our guest wanted to see more fish so Will made a second stop and we got to see and play with a Morea EEL that seemed to be very curious about us as well.
Next stop was the sting rays on a waist deep sand bar in the middle of the Lagoon. The rays are extremely curious and love to be touched. For the men out there, watch your "banana" since the rays actually try to mount you. During this visit you are surrounded by Black Tip reef sharks,. They are beautiful creatures and swim around the back of you. This stop really helps prepare you for the next stop.
We then went out into the Ocean and met up with the other tours. You dive into made 60 feet of water and are surrounded by dozens of Black Tip Reef Sharks. We were lucky enough to be over run with Lemon Sharks who decided that they wanted to visit, which causes the Reef Sharks to leave. I was apprehensive about going into the water with Sharks (This was my wife's idea) but seeing others in the water, makes you feel a little better going in. I even went down and touched a lemon Shark and it was amazing.
Bring a underwater camera, Will grabbed ours a few times and got some amazing pictures down deep in the water.
As we headed for a lunch surprise, we came across a Manta Ray swimming in the Lagoon. What a beautiful graceful creature and a once in a lifetime photo.
Will then took us to a private beach and fed us fresh fruit from his garden. Amazing, amazing, amazing is all I can say. Everything fresh and the flavor is unreal.
Overall, a beautiful adventure made special by our Captain. we will always remember our swimming with the Sharks! They provide water and drinks on the boat for refreshments to drink.
A few words of advise to follow, bring extra sunscreen and reapply every time you get out of the water. Bring water to flush your mouth and face because the water is extremely salty.

We made a reservation via email and received a confirmation back from Shark Boy. We arrived in Bora Bora and they never showed up. 8 people sitting on the dock waiting. Very disappointed.

Just got back from a morning adventure with Shark Boy Bora Bora. All I can say is one of the coolest experiences of my life. We first went and snorkeled at Coral Gardens (we'd previously done this so no big deal but great place to see various fish). Then the real adventure began as they took us out to the breakwater where we swam with lots of black finn sharks as well as a sting ray. Can't begin to tell you how surreal this was (at first an Italian girl on the trip was like oh hell no, but after getting in she said it was one of the coolest things she'd ever done). Lots of black finn and we stayed for a while. After that it was time for some more rays (eagle rays) and then on to the big boys, lemon sharks. The lemon sharks are amazing and there were a lot more black finn also but you kind of disregard them with the lemon sharks. The Lemon sharks are pretty much as large as you. After all this they take you to an island for fresh fruit (could give or take this but the mango was really good).
Our guide was Will and he was great. They picked us up at our hotel dock and dropped us off, all for 7,500 CFP per person, which was significantly less than our hotel was offering for a similar tour (12,000 per person).
A must do when in Bora-Bora!!!

Signing up for this excursion on the ship (Pacific Princess) I cannot remember any reference to sharks-- only stingrays, I guess you could seriously reduce the bookings if this were advertised.!!
However as a certified diver, I have dived with all kinds of sharks in the past and whilst I am not blase about them- they do cause a certain frisson deep in your psyche in close contact and this adds to the enjoyment.
The tour operators were,as usual in these islands completely laid back and accompanied us the whole time with their ukelele's played with varying degrees of skill but lots of enthusiasm. I felt completely safe and comfortable the whole time and the female dive master was very funny.
Fins were provided for those that required them- the water was gin clear and everyone thorougly enjoyed the experience except one poor timid chap that that was in fear of his appendages and hopped out of the water in haste! to everyones amusement.

What a wonderful day! We were picked up from the pier then proceeded on to a stop to first swim with lemon and black tip sharks, then on to stop two to swim with stingrays, stop three for snorkeling in a coral garden with a beautiful array of fish, then traversed the island for a nice view of all the resorts followed by a stop on a private island with a nice sandy beach to enjoy some fresh local fruit then back to the pier. It doesn't get much better than that. I highly recommend this excursion. Don't forget to take a water camera. I got some amazing photos.

My wife and I went on the full day trip swimming and snorkelling with the Sharks and Rays. It's an amazing experience swimming amongst the Sting Rays and Reef sharks. The rays are particularly friendly and curious and come up right next to you if you like the idea of touching them. The water is absolutely crystal clear and visibility superb, especially on a sunny day which we were lucky enough to enjoy. Pack plenty of sunscreen and your underwater camera. Lunch was lovely and fresh just 4 of us on our private beach followed by a demo of how to open a coconut. Great day out. Would recommend

When I first read about swimming with rays and sharks I thought: They can't be serious! They were and we did and what an awesome time we had. Also took us to a great snorkeling site for colourful reef fish and idyllic beach for fruit platter. We had Will for our guide and he was excellent!

I can't rave enough about these guys. My wife and I went to Bora Bora in June of 2015. We used Shark boy Bora Bora on the recommendation of a friend of mine. They picked us up at the boat dock at Four Seasons, and off we went. Big Sky, our tour guide, was amazingly funny and entertaining!!! We stopped for a quick snorkel trip before heading off to the stingray's and black-tip sharks. If you're nervous about the sharks, don't be. They do not bother you at all. After about an hour or so, we went outside the lagoon and swam with the Lemon Sharks, before heading to a private little beach area for some fruit. The people we were with booked a full day trip, and we wish we had done the same. Take the family, and go use these guys for everything!!!!!!

Hello!
Getting to Vaitape for a day call, on a cruise ship, and would like to know if there are booths selling this tours on the pier; if so, what are the prices and most importantly what are the times they do start the trip?
We are crew members so our time off work is limited and would like to make arrangements in advance.
Any info would help :)
Thank you!
