We signed up for this excursion via tahiti.com prior to our honeymoon, and it was well worth it.
Like almost every excursion we did in French Polynesia, they provided transportation from the dock (where our hotel provided boat transfers). We ended up being the only couple on the tour, so it was like we got the private-island tour for a major discount!!
Our tour guide, ADRIEN, was the sh$%. He took us around the entire lagoon, making pit stops to give us background information about all of Bora Bora. We saw some historical resorts, the US World-War II re-supply station, base, and canons, among other things; We went carefully through some shallow reefs as well as close to the lagoon barrier where we saw the pacific ocean waves crashing into the lagoon; We stopped on an island where we were taught how to find and open a coconut----and also drink the water and make coconut milk. And of course, we just cruised around for a bit(at "comfortable speeds" for the lady, and hi-speeds for those who like a good rush). We did an entire "lap" around the lagoon.
We did this excursion as part of a package, including this jet ski tour, lunch at Bloody Mary's, and also a "Stingray snorkel & shark feeding excursions." It was a great day and we were exhausted at the end!
