DZT was an awesome time! From Start to Finish the trip was smooth and accommodating. Our Guides Kenzi and Jim were extremely nice, helpful and full of stories and knowledge. Would highly recommend this trip.

We had friends visiting from lower 48 and they had zip lined before so we booked the trip. Our guides Bridget and Morgan were fantastic! They put those of us who are nervous about it at ease. Safety was top priority. We had a gorgeous day. We will be back!

We really enjoyed our zip lining adventure
As others have noted, the guides are great...they are entertaining but always attentive to safety and being sure that everything is well explained and done correctly
You check in at a little booth/small shack place on the main drag entering Talkeetna. When your time comes, they take you in a van for a short ride on bumpy road to the zip line area. You are given gear and instructions. They do a very good job of this by fully explaining and providing instructions while at the same time keeping it light and fun. You can tell they are very safety conscious. They have excellent employees.
Once the fun begins, there are a series of lines. The last one is the longest and the best and takes you over a small lake. Beautiful and fun. There are a couple of areas on the route where you cross a bridge or go through a bit of an exercise to get to the next line... That part is not ideal. However, it does not detract from the overall experience which is very good
One last plus is that they take pictures of you along the way and instead of ripping you off charging 10 or 20 dollars per picture (like a lot of places do), you can pay a one time fee (i think 10 or 20 at the most) and they quickly (within an hour of completion of the tour) send you an email with ALL of the pictures from your tour. That was nice

We did the zipline tour at the end of a 2-week tour of Alaska. We have two teenage kids and I wanted to finish with a bang, so I reserved in advance, agreeing to pay $600 for a family of four. I thought the kids might look back and think it was one of the best things we did. Instead, when mixed in with all the other fun things we did in Alaska, we thought the zipline tour was ho-hum, and even a bit boring.

The whole thing takes about 3 hours and you literally spend a total of about 3 minutes actually running a zipline (if I recall right, there were 9 runs). They ask you to arrive 30 minutes in advance, which was unnecessary, and then they have to take you to and from the place in a van. We had a full group of 8 and the outfitting and safety briefings took a long time. They are so particular that you follow their procedures exactly for staying straight, keeping your feet together and stopping with a gloved hand exactly how and when they say that we felt that distracted from enjoying the ride. One poor fellow had trouble following the rules, but not in an unsafe way, and one of the two gals was getting on his case about it beyond the call of duty.

The bottom line is that it might be a fun thing to do if you are on a cruise and take a day trip to Talkeetna. However, don't expect to compare well with many of the other fun things you can do in Alaska.

I had been on a previous zipline in Maui and loved it! Denali zipline was ok. It was a little boring because we weren't allowed to do any tricks like going hands free or laying back, but for my parents, being their first time, they loved it! It would have been nice if the guides were trained in adjusting the harnesses. I was very uncomfortable and had to be adjusted several times. The guides were very friendly and safe. All in all it was an ok experience.

This review is of the company itself and not of the zip lining activities, which I'm sure would've been great had I been picked up to start with.

My booking had been confirmed the evening before but due to the incompetence by the lady who took the booking or at the least, a lack of attention/care, she failed to notify the driver to include me on his pick-up list. I had even asked her for specifics as to the time of my pick-up as well as which wing of the hotel to wait for the driver. (I was staying at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge and it has two lobby areas). She was able to give me all that info yet still somehow failed to add me to the pick up list. So there I was the morning of my supposed zip-lining excursion, waiting and waiting. Several calls to the office went unanswered. Then it was straight to voicemail. Unbelievable. Finally got through to someone but they had to call back while they check what's going on. They finally discovered the error but by that time the driver had already left for his pick-ups and it was too late for him to turn back. Also, he was the only driver on that morning so they couldn't send someone else out to pick me up although they had suggested that as a possible solution earlier.

It was a complete farce.

We're very sorry for your tour pick up being mis-managed. This is not the norm for our team to have a situation like this occur, and we will certainly use this as a training tool to prevent further problems in this area. We understand that you were unable to attend our trip due to our mess up and would like to make it up to you if possible. If you are at all able to be in our area again please contact our office and ask for a manager.

I am a local Alaskan girl that lives south of Talkeetna about an hour away. I heard about the Denali Zipline tour from friends. My sister and I are early 30's and we went together. This was an amazing adventure in the tree tops! I cannot wait to do it again. I thought it definitely was worth the money. We went on a windy & rainy day but still had a great time. Dress warm and wear good hiking style shoes or boots. If you are looking for an amazing RUSH of excitement and are not afraid of heights then you should go Ziplining in Talkeetna!

My wife and I went on Aug 31st. We had a great time. The two guides we awesome.
There was a slight rain but even with that it was still great. I would definitely recommend it. We will do it again the next time we visit Alaska. We are 55+ and it was easy and safe.

I was a solo that went with a group of 10. Wide range of ages and all seemed to enjoy themselves. Guides were young, excited and seemed to have the safety of the group in mind at all times. I haved guided river tours before and found this was a pretty well run outfit. Thumbs up for sure.

such a fun thing to do - it is a 3 hour zipline tour, you go on a total of 9 ziplines that start off easy and finish with a long one over a pond. i think this is definitely an exciting thing to do, something that may not usually be on your list. wear warm clothes, they will do the tour even if it rains (it rained when i went but it was still fun!). our guides were great - thank you becky and heather!!
