We took our children and grandchildren on this outing - 14 in total including a 5 yr old and 8 yr old, and 9 adult children and spouses. Everyone had a great time. The highlight was the time at his cabin where we panned for gold, shot rifles, and had lunch. The food was good. Dennis was very accommodating for... More

We spent the day with Dennis and his crew. He opens his homestead to his guests and is full of great local stories about his family who were homesteaders back in the 1950s. The kids were able to do target practice from his back porch and everyone was gold panning in the creek behind the house. The trail ride and... More

We had a fantastic time on our outing. Dennis is an incredible host and we loved every moment - riding the ATVs, listening to interesting (and fun) stories about both the history of the town and Dennis' family - then enjoying delicious sandwiches form the local store and getting to target shoot and pan for gold. We can't say enough... More

This is a must if you want to see a small part of the Alaskan wilderness. Our guide Ken was awesome. Three solid hours of riding thru great trails with wonderful views of Denali & the Alaska Range. Of course it helped that we had great weather. Would definitely recommend this tour.

AWA did an amazing job of putting together and running this trip. Everyone that works there clearly loves what they do and they share it with you in a great way leaving you with a fantastic experience. We did everything from kayak, hike, canoe, horseback ride, dog sled, helicopter and float planes, to mention a few - and activities were... More

Dennis was awesome from the first time that I spoke with him! I asked about a one hour ride and he said he could do that, but he didn't want to. He wanted us to come on the 4-6 hour tour and come to his home and his family homestead and to pan for gold and to shoot. He was... More

Went on this tour with Dennis and his great dog, Bosco, today and it was a highlight of our trip to Talkeetna. Was myself, my husband and our 2 children, 8 and 10. Dennis had the trip planned perfectly. ATVs were safe and easy to ride. Went to his homestead and heard the history of Talkeetna and his family. Had... More

First off, they run good machines, second Dennis had to guides on our tour of 14 machines to help whe n ever necessary. Dennnis' stories of the History and Lore of Talkeetna were some of the best I have ever hear - after all his family was involved in some of it. They took us across a 45" bridge over... More

We went as a group with 5 adults and three kids aged 7 to 9, and everyone had a great time! Dennis and Patricia were both very professional, kind and went out of their way to make sure the kids and adults had a fun time. The tour included 10 miles of atv riding on a safe and flat surface,... More

Dennis and his tour guide helper, Patricia were excellent hosts. My husband requested an extended tour and Dennis accommodated. While we greatly enjoyed hearing about Talkeetna history, we knew our teenagers would prefer more time on the ATVs. Our tour included a trip through town, driving the ATVS, stopping at the original family homestead and then to Dennis's personal cabin... More
