We did a 1 hour flight to see Denali through K2. This is a class operation well run with a clean, large and modern space, professional people behind the counter and first class pilots and aircraft. Our pilot was Joe who who professional all the way. Handled his passengers and craft excellently. Denali can be frustrating, often not being able to be seen due to weather. K2 understands this and only flies when it's safe, and when it's not, makes a great effort to re-schedule or refund if necessary. All friendly and professional. On our day, the weather was iffy and they had pilots going up without passengers to scout out the weather. In our case the weather broke literally at the last minute and we had a great flight with wonderful views of Denali and the surrounding mountains. If the weather hadn't broken they would have cancelled the flight with either re-scheduling or a refund on the spot. I wish all businesses were run like this.

This flight was just fantastic. Chad was our pilot and we were able to land on the glacier. This is an unbelievable experience and a once in a lifetime experience. I can’t say enough about our pilot and K2. Thank you!

There are two reasons why we cannot rate this 5 stars. First, one person in our party had a headset with a nonworking mic so they could not ask any questions during the flight. Second, we thought the flight would be limited to six people (according to the website description). There were 10 people in our plane not counting the pilot. Not sure why there was a difference. The views on the right side were better than the left, but the views for all were incredible. Takeoff and landing were very smooth. It's worth the trip, but be sure to check your mic and ask how many people will be in the plane before going.

This is a very popular service offering Air Taxis and flight tours. We booked the Denali flight tour to fly around Mt Denali, see wildlife and land on a glacier and actually walk on the glacier. What they don't tell you is that none of their pilots are instrument certified and can only fly by visual flight rules which means if it's rainy, foggy or has a lot of low clouds your trip will be canceled or greatly shortened. Our trip was shortened and we didn't get to se or do most of the highlights of the trip. We spent 15 minutes getting to the mountain and 15 minutes getting back and actually flew around the mountain for 30 minutes. No glacier landing and didn't spot a single bear, moose or any type of wildlife. We also didn't know how far it was from Fairbanks when we booked the tour, but that was our fault for not asking. We assumed the tour would start and end around or near Denali but after purchasing the package learned that we'd have to drive almost to Anchorage (way past the mountain) take the tour and fly back almost to Anchorage and then drive back to Fairbanks. So it ended up being a 12 hour day for a 30 minute to 1 hour tour. We had also been told we had to each purchase a park pass in advance before taking the tour and we did, but we never needed it because we never landed inside the park. Once back home I called the tour operator (K2 Aviation) and complained to the owner, who after considering the facts agreed to give us a partial refund which I did appreciate.

This exhilarating 1-hour flight was one of the high points of our trip to Alaska. Getting to see Mt. Denali and the glaciers of the Alaskan Range made for a memory we will treasure
