Having read some of the reviews are expectations were very low, but after Doug from the Nautilus told us about the snorkelling we donned our gear and off we went from the beach. Even at high tide the surround of the hole is only about...More

If you want to get in a good ocean swim while visiting Kosrae, you have to make your way out to one of their Blue Holes. I was fortunate enough to have Carlos from the Pacific Treelodge (an educated coral & marine animal expert and...More

So easy when staying across the street at the Nautilus. Good snorkeling can be had at any time of the day. But going at high tide is the best option because then you wont have to walk for a few hundred meters in knee high...More

Stay across the street at the Nautilus resort and walk out to the blue hole. It takes at least two hours to make a complete loop and do it near high tide on the incoming tide or else the water can get a bit murky.

Protected by the outer reef, so no currents or choppy waves. The Blue Hole is great snorkeling - lovely coral, colorful fish. One of the very best snorkel sites I've ever experienced.

Located right off the shore, so no boat needed this hole is very deep based on it's location and inside there is a reef with many tropical fish!

We borrowed a paddle board from Pacific Treelodge where we were staying and paddled out to the Blue Hole and snorkeled the perimiter. Nice corals on the ocean side, porcupinefish... as we snorkeled clockwise around from the northern end we came across some interesting caverns...More

Very accessible for snorkeling - saw giant coral formations, tons of fish, and a stingray 5 feet across. What a very pleasant surprise a few meters from shore!

The blue hole is just in front of one of the hotels in Kosrae...a nice walk from the beach and nice swim to the hole... great spectacular for snorkle enthusiasts...
