Our group of 9 (mostly Canadians) just finished a wonderful week aboard the Thorfinn after four days diving at the Blue Lagoon resort on Weno. Although these two places perhaps cater to different clientèle, our group of tek and rebreather divers had a fantastic time...More

Avoid This So-called Liveaboard I’ll make my review simple and direct. 1. The review by billm1160 is fake. A new account with just 1 review to his name, he writes an unbelievably long story, singing praises about the Thorfinn and also justifying / making excuses...More

For divers, Chuuk Lagoon is one of the most unique experiences you will ever enjoy in this lifetime. Absolutely the best wreck diving in the world. One can never “see it all” and you will absolutely be tempted to return over and over again. More...More

Truk /Chuuk/ Lagoon is the ultimate wreck diving destination. Period. So many ships - we did 16 for 7 days, history and excellent dives provided by the very professional team of MV Truk Siren /so sad that Truk Siren is no more, RIP beautiful lady/.

Go before its too late. Many of the shallower wrecks are corroding at a rapid rate and might not be around for many more years. Amazing diving and BLR facilities are top notch.

We stayed at the Blue Lagoon resort. Food and diving was great. It has its own dive centre and they are very nice and thoroughly professional

Live aboard versus shore based resort for diving? Pros / cons?

The wrecks are all within between 10 and 15 mins ride by boat from the resort, so not really an issue. Liveaboards will tie up on the wreck mooring, so you dive directly off the boat. Food on the liveaboards will probably be... More
