If you are looking for cheap and fresh vegetables and fruits you definitely need to visit Friday market. U can find also plants and carpets (not original). Cafeterias offering local food at very good price. Had 2 biryani, haris logemat and karak for 40 dirhams! U would like to try also grilled sweet corn and fresh coconut juice.

When in the middle of the desert, it emerges from no where with selection of fruits and drinks to buy. They have boiled and grilled corn hot and served on the spot.
You can buy carpets of different sizes and kitchen appliances, such as steel pots and crafted baskets. It is a little joy in your way travelling from the western Emirates to eastern province.

Worth the drive from Dubai. Some rugged mountain scenery. As said in recent reviews by other travellers......there is a big variety of goods including souvenirs, fruit and veggies, local crafts, carpets and rugs, food, household items, etc. at stalls and small shops across both sides of the main road. You need to bargain for most items. Only toilets are at the service station.

Though called as Friday market, it is open all days and you will find all items from clay pots, furniture, carpets, fresh fruits and vegetable, toys here. There is no fixed price, your bargain capacity decides it.
This is in the Sharjah - Fujairah road, before Masafi ( not in the Maliha road which now motorists use more to commute to fujairah).

This is a nice place to have a break during your long driver to Fujairah or Khorfokkan

Masafi Market is essentially open food/produce/furniture/souvenir tents and stalls located on two sides of a major highway. Masafi is a small village, and this market is called Friday market, but open every day. The locals sell everything from rugs to cooking pots to tea sets to furniture, to snacks like corn, popcorn, coconuts, produce, honey and potted flowers and plants. If you're visiting Dubai, you'll get an interesting souvenir for cheap.

Know before you go: Bring cash, as most vendors don't accept cards. The sellers are local men, and the younger ones speak English while the older ones do not. Dress modestly, as the area is still pretty conservative (no need to cover your hair, but wear jeans and a tshirt at least). They expect you to haggle over prices, and are used to getting Western tourists. Walk past every stall before making your purchases, as some sell the same items.

I bought a kettle and a glass tea set as a souvenir; both together came to less than $20 USD. Also bought coconuts and some fruit.

There are no bathrooms or places to sit and eat. This is literally just open tents along a highway, so make sure to watch any children you have with you.

Everytime I go to Fujairah, I always come here to have my favourite grilled corn. They serve it better here.
