Not worth visiting, better visit Bur Dubai historical area to know the old lifestyle of emiratis. It'll be difficult to find this location and once you reach, you'll feel like time wasted.

Heritage Village is indicated as being next to the Fujairah fort, but, this area being currently under renovation, it is now near Madhab park, next to a cricket playground.

Several rooms are depicting traditional activities with models. You'll find also the usual majlis (guest room), falaj (irrigation well) and fishing boat.

If you have already visited a heritage village in AbuDhabi or Dubai, the visit can be skipped. It can be in combination with an afternoon at Madhab Park next door.

The Village is an open air "living" museum with traditional village houses and some people, mainly elderly women, in traditional garb demonstrating handicraft work. There is not much explanation on the way of life of the villagers or the artifacts on display. It was very quiet when we went there and little was going on. Interesting place to gain a first impression of the olden days in the region at a reasonable admission fee of AED 5 per adult and if you are looking for some place to kill your time in Fujairah.

Despite coming to Fujairah a number of times we had never been to the Heritage Village so thought we would check it out. It was open all day, contrary to the timings shown in a leaflet we picked up in the Ibis. It was a nice place to visit with a number of buildings (recreations of traditional houses etc). It was very quiet when we went, like the fort, we had the site to ourselves but I understand that at times there are locals at the village who can demonstrate daily life. The entry fee was again 5 AED per adult which is very reasonable. We probably stayed for 45 minutes before moving on.

We stepped back in time to the traditions of the 16th century with the carefully recreated Arabian village which depicted the home life of the day, including cooking utensils, farming tools and the Al Yazrah irrigation system. After exploring we joined in the tradition of accepting fresh dates and tea. I don't usually like dates but these were delicious. Tea is not as we know it as it is made with cardamom and other herbs and spices and served in very tiny amounts. Worth a visit.
