About
We live and work in Dalyan, an exceptionally beautiful Mediterranean town in Southwestern Turkey, where we built our company upon an incredibly simple idea: To create a different kind of experience, something really exceptional for people who care to make a real connection with the people, the landscape, the culture, the food and the environment. We want you to feel a little like you really live here for a short while, and can enjoy the peace and quiet or the pace and excitement of the place as much as the locals do. Ditch the guidebook and let us show you the real side of our country. Discover hidden treasures, secret local spots and stunning locations by letting a local guide lead you on a tour for experiences and adventures that memories are made of. We are specialised in tailoring tours, creating the perfect custom holiday for anyone who likes to get to get off the beaten track, to discover travel secrets away from the tourist crowds.

I am pretty snobby, and I wasn't expecting much when our group holiday decided to go on a boat trip. I usually find boat trips uncomfortable, a bit dirty and wet and tend not to enjoy them at all.
However, I was so shocked when we saw the boat (in fact, the whole group was shocked!). The boat was modern, sparkling clean, really comfortable and beautiful with soft wooden flooring and comfortable cushions on the benches - by FAR the nicest boat that we saw when walking past them all. It was also really spacious, we all had room to lounge around or lie down and there was enough sun and also enough shade for everyone in the group if we all wanted to be in the sun at the same time/all wanted to be in the shade at the same time (we were a group of 8 people).
Having been so surprised at the amazing quality of the boat, we did not expect much more. However, the service that the team provided for us was next to none - we were offered water, teas, coffees, they even had nice cold beers we could purchase on board. We were able to play our music and enjoy our time.
Every moment, the team were making the experience more and more special, taking us to see stunning coastal ruins, beaches, and taking us to a volcanic lake to swim (which was very cool and I would seriously recommend doing it!). The attention to detail was incredible, they had thought of everything - for example, when we were all floating in the volcanic lake the team gave us all noodle floats and passed us beers while we were in the water. We were relaxed 100% of the time and the entire day was incredibly special. To top it all off, we got to watch the sun set as we were heading home.

It was such an incredible experience that we ended up doing another boat trip the next day (booking it on the spot as we were finishing our trip). We just had the best boating experience we have ever had and I could not recommend it more.

If you are planning on booking any organised tours or trips during your stay in Dalyan, I would definitely recommend Volkan's Adventures.

We booked our boat trip through them for our large family group which consisted of adults, teens and small children (25 people). We were given two lovely boats (12 on one boat and 13 on the other). The boats stayed close to each other while moving and were next to each other when anchored.

Our guide Erim and his family were friendly, helpful and very well organised. They were also lots of fun and joined in with our energetic and lively family's antics.

We sailed down the river and stopped in the open waters near Iztuzu (Turtle) Beach for some snorkeling. Erim's team jumped in to test the waters each time we stopped anywhere for a swim before we were allowed in. We were given life jackets and pool noodles if we wanted them. From there, we went on to anchor near a beach that was only accessible via the river. We jumped off the boats and a short walk took us to the beach which was entirely deserted. Some of our group went back to the boat to paddleboard in the small lake and some of us stayed on the beach. We then went back to the boat for the lovely barbeque meal where the meat was cooked in front of us. Both the boats had slightly different menus. Our boat had mini beef kebabs, salads, bread, pasta and bulghur. Water was free throughout the duration of the trip, but drinks had to be purchased.

We then went on to the Ala Gol (lake) which is heated by thermal springs. When swimming, if you stop to tread water you can just feel the warm water brushing your feet.

We then made our way back to the harbour in Dalyan town and watched the sunset as we travelled down the river.

We were in Dalyan for 9 days in total and we did a few day trips, including with one other tour group. Volkan Adventures was so much more professional and the tour was outstanding. The crew on both boats were friendly and great fun, but they were also very conscious about safety throughout the trip. We all agreed that the boat trip was the highlight of our holiday and we would recommend it.

This trip I wanted to share the magic of Dalyan and surrounding area with my extended family as part of a big celebration and Murat and Volkan of Volkans Adventures pulled out all the stops to make sure I achieved that goal with a wonderful variety of fun packed adventures. We packed a lot in to our two weeks with anywhere between three and eight of our party joining:Secret Turkey, Mediterranean Highlights, Swimming with Horses, Beyond 12 islands Gulet cruise, Sunset Supper and Evening Wine Tasting topped off with a fabulous private 'Birthday' boat tour with Captain Mutlu on our final day. Every trip was tailored and special, nothing was rushed and 'happy tears' were shed on more than one occasion. Unfortunately my parents (in their 80s) did not feel safe enough to travel as planned - but Murat ensured they were included with his regular live updates throughout the day. Yes, you can find cheaper - but these guys provide more than day trips they provide special memories that will stay with you forever

I only had a short stay in Dalyan this year so I didn't have too many options for sight-seeing this trip. The guy in the shop was great, he really understood the type of thing I wanted and in fact made a point not to recommend one boat trip which he felt would be too busy and noisy.
We arranged a boat trip to Koycegiz Lake the next day with only 15 guests. Luckily for us (less so for Volkan) a number of people cancelled on the day (bad manners surely) so we were less than 10 when we sailed with the wonderful Captain Atakan and his lovely parents.
Ali our guide thought it would be more fun to sail down to the Delta for a swim and that's where we had an excellent meal - and then we sailed back to Dalyan and on up to the lake for a spectacular sunset. Really relaxing and I'm glad I went.

We first went on one of Volkan's Adventures just after he had started running them, about five years ago, and we have been on many more since then. All have been very enjoyable and different from the rest. We have visited some fantastic places and have some wonderful memories.
Last year we went on a private overnight trip with Volkan to Sagalassos, which was amazing, and we went with another couple of friends on a private trip to Ephesus, also amazing. We have done most of his trips over the past few years, and are looking forward to more when we return next year!
This year has obviously been an exceptional one, but Volkan had the fantastic idea of virtual tours as we couldn't visit in person, and it was great to go on virtual boat trips on the lake, walks around town with Murat and even a walk around Istanbul with Volkan and Mutlu. On top of that was weekly cookery classes with Murat and his wife, and Turkish lessons with Volkan- I'd love to think these might restart over the winter.
Next time you're in Dalyan, book yourself on a couple of Volkan's Adventures - you won't regret it!

From the moment we booked with Volkan Adventures the team ensured that our experience was made memorable, they contacted us well in advance whilst we was still in the UK of any specific requirements we may need and our meals were exactly what we wanted, even though we was in a large group, every person was catered for no matter of age and believe me, my family has some fussy eaters!! The meals and snacks provided were delicious and there was plenty of food for everyone on-board to have more than enough.

Volkan and the team made us feel welcome once again, as this was not our first trip with them. The crew were very friendly and accommodating. The locations we we stopped at to swim were stunning...particularly as the crew found secluded calm locations for us to enjoy the surrounding.

The crew even made extra stops and took us to the Mud Baths, which was an experience in itself.

The day actually did overrun which you can imagine, but Volkan, his crew and guides do go above and beyond!!

So overall 10/10 and can highly recommend to anybody.

Thank Volkan!! Stay safe everyone and see you in 2021!!

I’ve recently returned from a five week stay in Dalyan and during this time did a few trips with Volkans Adventures.

Firstly, let me say that Murat and Volkan who run the company had managed to adapt their programme of events during lockdown and kept me sane from March to June with their online cookery courses (quite successful) and Turkish lessons (still trying). These two are the equivalent of Ant and Dec with a great sense of humour and rapport, so when we did finally meet in August it was like catching up with two old friends.

Dalyan is a unique place and the excursions I experienced allowed my husband and I to explore places that we did not know.. The noon to moon cruise, wine tasting was relaxing, the secret turkey tour took in amazing roman and ottoman history but the highlights for me were the road to paradise trip - unbelievable clear waters up river and unknown beach resorts, our private gulet stay allowing us to sleep on deck under the stars, and the 12 island boat trip which was a total fun boat party day. Tour groups were small and you were made to feel a part of a small family as soon as you joined a tour. The extra touches were free bottles of water and ices throughout and even 3 lira fir the loo when needed!

Volkans Tours offer something a little different from the norm which I can thoroughly recommend; they go the extra mile. Can’t wait to go back and see what’s in store for next summer.

What a fantastic experience this was. We were picked up from our hotel and transported to the top of Radar Mountain by our guide Salim. He was so attentive and caring and he served fresh strawberry’s and apple along with wine and beer. A great chance for photographs and a chat with our newly found friends.
After a half hour stop we were taken to Sunset Georgian Restaurant which was a short drive away and had spectacular views over the Dalyan Delta. The food was fantastic and all locally sourced and made even better by the excellent service and the conversation with our friends. Never laughed and enjoyed company like it for a long time. Thank you Salim and Volkan Adventures you are highly recommended and we will be using you in the future.

Our day started roughly 30 Minutes away from Dalyan, with a range of of transfers offered to us, we opted for an open-top bus which made the journey incredible not just for ability to see more but smell all the herbs growing at the road side.

Alp (Our guide) stayed with us for the duration of the tour and acted as translator as well as group leader.

We opted for a full day private boat trip, where we visited Delik Adasi(Hole Island) Istuzu Beach, a nearby thermal spring and a mud bath to finish the day.

Lunch was provided and cooked by the staff on board the ship and was absolutely incredible. 7 mezze dishes and chicken grilled over the onboard bbq. Thank you to the captains wife(saveye-english spelling attempt) and the deckhand. They also provided a cake for my mums 60th birthday which was enjoyed by all. There was plenty food left over which the captain plated up and took around to nearby locals in there boats making us feel at one with the community.

Captain Sawas is a skipper of 20 Years and a boat builder of many more. During the morning rush with boats all navigating through the delta to get out to the open waters, he somehow managed to put a bubble of tranquility around us, literally slowing time down and maximising our relaxation.

We saw a loggerhead turtle(a big one at 100kgs in weight), storks, leaping sea bass and just one big old crab and 1000s of fish.

With no doubt whatsoever, this was the best day of our holiday!

My sister, friends and I enjoyed a day with Murat Deniz of Volkan's Adventures touring the Mediterranean Highlights. The villages, historical Patara site, food and Turkish countryside were incredible. Murat was a very gracious attentive guide who truly personalized our trip. Thank you Murat and Volkan's Adventures for an amazing day exploring Turkey! I highly recommend Volkan's Adventures!
