From Çirali on foot the only way to get to an Olympos is via the beach. You walk from the ice cream shop (the one where they make their own home-made ice cream) along the road of cafes that face the beach (check out the...More

Unfortunately the ruins are in a sad shape. Supposedly there have been excavations going on but there is no substantial information in any of the ruins or pieces.

Olympos is good for a look if you are driving past but the ruins are not preserved well. Having said that it is a pleasant walk beside a stream that leads to a beach at the end of the ruins. There are shops along the...More

We spent a couple of hours looking around the ruins and really enjoyed our time. 20 lira each for the entry was reasonable value and you get a real sense of how well positioned this city was back in the Roman times.

A bit of a disappointment after all that one had heard about the history of the olympos. Dilapidated ruins with little explanation of what they are.

I’m happy I visited due to the history of this place but it wasn’t as impressive as the other ancient sites I visited. The secluded beach was the highlight.

During the day you pay to enter the site. I am not sure when they stop charging - maybe around 6pm or 7pm. However after that you can still enter the site and a lot of people visit at night with a torch. However, you... More
