This is a small but beautiful church on Plaz de Santa Teresa opposite the city gate and walls of Avila. You only need a few minutes to visit here.

Took two visits before we got in but the tour was very worthwhile and not that expensive. Gives the history. Most impressive though is the structure itself

The San Pedro church sits back in the square facing the old entrance of the wall. It is beautiful and excellent tour is available with headphones. If you have enough time you should do it.

Excellent tour of the church with headphones that was informational and educational. Be aware that these old churches and cathedrals are not heated and can be extremely cold. Dress accordingly with gloves.

We ducked in here for a quick look - no charge- and the priest was saying mass. Very moving atmosphere and a lovely church. Only got to see from the back without interupting
