About
Who hasn’t heard of the (in)famous Dracula? Vampire or ruler, known near and far for his cruelty. Here, at The Dracula Investigation, you will learn that this story also starts with a simple human being like you and me. A person with feelings, a traumatized kid - allow us to present you the real Vlad Dracula - the son, brother, warrior. Inside, in 5 rooms Vlad himself will tell you his life story. You will get to see animations, sculptures and light/ shadow effects. We invite you to travel back in time with us to get to know Dracula’s human, real and often hidden part.

Historical facts, ... and very few legends about the Vlad "Dracula - the Impaler" Tepes.
Vlad "the Impaler" (or Tepes , in Romanian) king of Wallachia 3 times between 1448 and his death in 1476/77 - one of the most know, most influential kings of the Medieval times and a Romanian national hero (regardles of the nice story he inspired Bram Stoker to write , that has nothing to do with reality but put , wrongly Transylvania on the world map, when Vlad was ruling Walachia, nice story nonetheless.) Now this expo is following the life of Vlad from his birth and childhood to the bitter end his death on the battlefield betrayed and only with a handful of faithful men at arms at his side , facing frightful odds, decapitated eventually after his heroic demise . ... the rest I will not spoil ... I will let you visit the place and judge for yourself. What I can say is that is has been a great experience this exhibit, accurate historically and the decorations and story matching the life and deeds of Vlad. Go and check out for yourself.

Nice Romanian history lesson with visual guide. We heard a story from beginning to end going from room to room which were designed according to it. We enjoyed it (even more as it was cool inside in the 30 degree hot sunny daylight.)

    Interesting and informative
This is a great activity to do while in Sighisoara. The place is in the city Center so it's easy to reach - you'll see the sign "Hero or Villan?". The entrance is 15 RON for adults, the activity is for children as well, it lasts 24 min, and the staff is really friendly. It is a mini tour through 4 different rooms, they are well designed and surprising and you listen to Vlad Tepes's story told from his perspective. I reccommend this activity.

This exhibit is such a creative and original way to tell the story of Vlad Tepes. I absolutely loved the storytelling and imagery. It’s fast paced and interesting while giving enough historical detail to be informative. It is a must visit while in sighisoara, hands down my favorite thing I did.

I strongly recommend this experience. It represents a very good way to improve someone’s knowledge about Vlad the Impaler by being involved in such a great and creative presentation. The rooms were impressively designed and I enjoyed every moment of the tour.

Very interesting and great way to tell the story of Vlad's life. The way this has been put together is brilliant and great to hear the story of Vlad's life and how things came to be. Definitely worth a visit.

We really enjoyed our visit! You move from room to room and listen to dramatic audio for a multi-media experience. The couple whose run this place are very knowledgable and you can tell it is a project they are passionate about. It was great to learn more of the history. It is more homespun, but still very effective.

My wife and I visited recently. We had spent a bit of time reading up on the backstory of Vlad which meant some of the material was familiar to us. However, it was delivered in a really compelling way. The experience is relatively lo-fi at the moment, but very good value for money. With some support I'm sure these guys can continue to make this a bigger and better attraction. It has a lot more substance than visiting Bran castle (with its tenuous, i.e. non-existent links to Vlad) or the house in which Vlad was born, which is pretty hokey.

Thank you both for visiting our new project in Sighisoara. We are really happy and thankful that we got such positive feedback in such a short time. And indeed, our plan is to constantly improve the exhibition. Here, the feedback of our visitors plays a crucial role! Hopefully you also enjoyed the rest of Romania! It was an amazing experience, the decor was very artistic, the story very nice, it does Vlad Țepeș justice, i liked the fact that the experience does not dwell on the legend but on history. Overall, a trully amazing experience. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Dreadful doesn’t even begin to cover just how appalling this is. 5 rooms with artwork that would look bad in a Children’s Primary School art display. 5 voice-over historical commentaries on Vlad the Impaler. Complete waste if time and a little bit of money. Do yourself a bug favour and just walk on by and have an ice-cream with the money instead - at least it will be value for money.

It was the first time we visited an exhibition about Dracula. Unlike most stories this isn’t about a vampire but about Vlad Țepeș himself, his life and his actions. It was a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend visiting the exhibition! Thank you!

It’s a nice and very much needed way of promoting our history and to learn something new. The adults might know the basic history which is at the basis of this informative exposition, but it is definitely worth going as I assure you will learn new things no matter what age you are. Also a very small price for entering, discount for students and pupils. Great place to go during your séjour in Sighișoara, even if you’re here with your date or with your family and kids.

A great and cute place to learn about Sighisoara history (path 1) and about Vlad Tepes (path 2) in a audiovisual way. Especially the one about Vlad Tepes was very well made. At the end you get to vote if Vlad was a Hero or Tyrant. Not so easy choice :) 15 RON for one of the paths or 25 RON for both, so we took both. Don’t miss the small shop where they have local handicraft that is really nice.
