A peaceful village, people are still true nature of ethnic people, not Gravel like the Mong in Sapa. Facilities are gradually developing in Ta Phin, if you have the opportunity to stay one night at people's homes.
The landscape: beautiful; I went on an overcast/foggy day and the hills were still very nice to look at; in fact I sat on a rock by a river (by the bridge) for 10 minutes just admiring it all. That being said, there are other...More
I took a motorbike taxi (200 000 VND to and back) from Sapa town to visit the cave first. I hired the young guide who provided me a torch and led me into the cave. (20 000VND)
After the cave, I went to Mr. Le's...More
I loved many things in Ta Phin village such as colorful custom, culture and local cuisine. The best one you should try to have a bath with herbal medicine. It is very fresh and make you comfortable and strong.
There are some beautiful views of the rice fields but the village itself is very disappointing. There is not a lot of things to do except the cave (that sucks) and the herbal spa (very relaxing, cheap and overall awesome experience). We stayed at Ta...More
My husband and I rented a motorbike to check out Ta Phin. We had already checked out 4 villages before this. This was a pretty disappointing village that is extremely touristy with people just trying to sell you stuff and the views of the terraced...More
The name is called Ta Phin Village, but it feels more like a museum + theme park combined. Before arriving at the village, you pay an entrance fee of 40k vnd.
When you arrived at the entrance of the village, there will be red dao...More
We wanted to visit a herbal spa and do a 6 km loop walk around Ta Phin. The village is nothing special, just a cluster of houses and homestays.
The spa was very nice, and we got served fresh fruit juice. (pay extra).
The trek to Ta Phin from Sapa is a soft trek along predominantly concrete paths, so really don't need usual trekking gear. Just be wary of the motorbikes that locals use on these paths from their villages.

I wouldn’t bother if you cannot walk around at all. The most interesting thing was the rice fields - Sapa the actual town is not that note worthy. However, a lot of the ‘treks’ are more walking rather than actual trekking. I would hire a personal guide and then tell them that you cannot walk that much.
