My husband and I took the night bus from Hanoi to Sapa, where, at dawn, Sapa Pathfinder van picked us up at the bus station. We were taken to the office/hotel, where we were allowed to stow our bags, and even given the chance to take a shower. Then, we were directed to a breakfast buffet, more than a dozen... More

I took the Bac Ha Market Trip with this company - it was value for money if you really only wanted to visit the market. Lunch was provided which was okay and then we had a couple of short stops on the way back. The visit to the "village" was a waste of time - taken on a walk at... More

I rate it 4 just because the beauty of Sapa and the long lasting impression. Pick up from lao cai station OK. Small bus with 12 seats. Arrived at pathfinder office. Had breakfast, which was just so so. After that I went to the hotel which I booked to freshen up. First Trekking day started at 9.30. The trail was... More

Would probably skip the 3rd day as all we did was go down to cat cat village, which is pretty much the same rice patty scenery with a waterfall. The entire trip was a must-see though. Great mix of hiking and homestay. They have rain boots for rent which I was soooo lucky to have taken advantage of. Only $2... More

Had a fantastic tour with Pathfinder! Took the 2 day / 1 night Homestay with a local family in Sa Pa. Bus was really comfortable and easy to sleep on as it is 5 hour journey. Trekked down into the valley with a group of 10 with a guide and 4 very friendly and helpful local women helping us along... More

This was an amazing tour of Sa pa that we booked through our hotel not wanting to take a chance with some of the other local tour companies which either seemed too expensive (offering security) or too dodgy looking. I wish I'd known about Pathfinder before but our trip was only made awesome by our tour guide Thōng! He showed... More

We love our guide Dao Dao, he is friendly, knowledgeable and patient. A good photographer as well helping us to take photos so that we were left with many good memories of the tours and we will be back to Sapa again.

We took the overnight train from Hanoi were picked up driven to Sapa and arrived in the Hotel at 6:30am. We were ready to go trekking. Trekking didn't start until 9:30am and when it did our originally booked trek was scaled back from 11km to 4km because we had been paired with another family (that included elderly parents) who were... We booked to do the two day one night private trip to Sapa. The scenery was amazing, we chose the best time to visit because the rice was at different stages of ripeness showing the different colours. We had an excellent guide in Dao, he was funny and well organised as well as being concerned for our welfare. He gave... More
