Samudra beach is a bit less crowded among the beaches in Kovalam. It is near to KTDC Samudra hotel and most of the guest in this hotel use this beach. Though waves are not that strong, it is advisable to listen to what lifeguards say.

This is a very small stretch of beach. Access to the beach is not too great but a beach nevertheless.

We had difficulties accessing the beach as there were stone boulards. There was about 2 feet jump to get in beach, which probably can be done but how do you get back up? Don’t recommend this beach

The beach at Kovalam is narrow and restricted. The sea is also very rough. It is picturesque and attractive to look at and the sea wall provides an excellent sitting area with a variety of restaurants, but it isn’t a beach that draws you back.

We stayed in UDS so were always here :) Go early morning and see the team effort of fisherman, the way they sing while working is really interesting. In the evening you can enjoy snacks at the beach as many small shops come up. UDS...More

It appears you are confusing beach itself with some park. There is no park as such. There is only samudra beach and it is public beach, free for all. Hope it helps.
