This is the third time that a cruise ship I'm on has stopped at the Tianjin cruise port. The terminal is fairly new, about 3 years old. While it is large and rather nice looking, the fully stocked shops (convenience store, post office, souvenir shop, beauty goods store) are closed and locked. And there's nothing else around here for twenty... More

We recently joined a Princess Cruise at this Cruise Port and the port facility itself is very good. The arrangements to join the ship were excellent and we were quickly processed by Princess cruises and boarded the ship in very quick time. The port facility also has currency change facility if you need to change money at the port. My... More

excellent port facility. difficult to exchange money as there is not enough places to do so.only two booths open and one atm. big lines. easy in and out but english signage is not up to par. the port has a nice architectural design and it may be worthwhile to visit just to check it out.

We arrived by. Us from Beijing. Good trip until we got to the gate of the terminal. There we experienced an hour delay as there was a checkpoint with 2 lines that ended up being 8 lanes trying to get in first. People who have been to China will understand. Lots of people wanting to get in and no organisation.... More

Although the facility and surrounding area were very well laid out, about half hour taxi ride from the new Yujiapu Station, the terminal had only one restaurant offering a Chinese menu, unfortunately, the restaurant was closed. Aside from a small shop which sold a variety of sundries, travel items, and snacks; no other eateries were available for cruise guests awaiting... More

We arrived at the port of Tianjin in the early morning for disembarkation. The port looks new, nice and clean. Baggage claim was in order and I didn't have any problem locating mine. We went through really quick from getting off the ship to meeting our designated bus for the trip to Beijing.

I don't think a lot of cruise ships come here, this port is too big for the purpose. Facilities are well kept, clean, check in area is big and comfortable. The surrounding area is still under construction, there is nothing around, no shopping, no attractions, nothing. Our hotel is in Habei area, which is a 2 hours cab ride on... More

The Cruise Port - also called Xingang - is at the end of a large man-made port area that is still under construction. It is a 20 minute or more drive from the port to the city of Tanggu from which a high speed train connects Tanggu with Tianjin and Beijing. There is also a metro train that goes from... More
