I explain, there are mold on the walls and lots of dust (I'm allergic to dust-mites, acarus, I had the respiratory tract irritated). Apart this, it was perfect, the architecture is fabulous, the garden (renovated) is pretty (little pond, faux-cherry, pretty bridge) and romantic. Many of rooms talk about the history of the politic in China (that can be interesting if you have a guide, or understanding Chinese because it is not translate). The other rooms concerns the history of this place and the daily life. And the district is so amazing, an more elaborate architecture. Beautiful furniture, art, gardens, and courtyards give a glimpse of what life used to be like for a wealthy merchant's family. The mansion also featured an exhibit of traditional bridal attire and showed the carriage that brides rode in. It was on the outskirts of Tianjin, so expect a long drive (over 30 minutes), and we spent over an hour viewing the mansion and its various exhibits. Nice gift shop with reasonably priced souvenirs unique to Tianjin.…
