I was in China during the summer with my school and we went to this park. I only just discovered what the park was called after doing some research. On summer nights, the park is warm and full of life with hundreds of locals out walking. The scenes are beautiful and it is a great photo opportunity. At night, there is also a large group of (mostly elderly) dancers. The music was loud, and it honestly looked like a lot of fun. As foreigners, my friends and I were more than welcome to join in the dancing which was one of the highlights of my trip :) Overall it was just a fantastic experience. If you are in Tianjin I would not miss going to Tianjin People's Park, particularly at night time :)

The People's Park is located at Tianjin Guangdong Road. This is a park of long history, most welcome by the elderly citizens and not to miss out by tourists or visitors in Tianjin. It offers sites for all ages, nice paths for promenades, playground for children, zoo and boat rowing fun for visitors, and very important as well, a theatre for traditional North Chinese operas. The shows display and retain the excellent performance culture of north China much to an extent similar to the dramas in south China. This is fantastic that the park is at the heart of the city, much diluting the commercial air of the modern city. If one comes to Tianjin and wishes to have a real look at the city, one should visit this park especially during the later afternoon to have a watch of the operas. Where accommodated by TripAdvisor, may attach some pictures for your view.

The park is beautiful, with plenty of locals using it to exercise. A very peaceful area to relax, walk and admire the beauty of the city

Beautiful gardens setting with nice pathways and water features. This is where local people come to sit and look at the birds, plants and also to chat and gossip. You will also see people exercising and practicing various body movement routines. We loved it.

A great and beautiful park to relax or hanging out with friends or family, especially during summer. And this is a really good place to take a picture! Hahah! But seriously, it is. Located in a strategic area, so it's really easy to get here, even by bus.

This park dated 150 years ago was built as a private garden by a local merchant, now the place is open to the public for free as its namesake. It's a pleasure and peaceful place to visit if you want to be blend in or simply enjoy some quality alone time. But if you have got a very tight schedule, I suggest skipping it, since it's no difference than any park you could find around the corner in your neighborhood.

Great spot relatively early in the morning. Not a lot going on, but a nice spot for a wander, particularly for the older generation and families

A small park in the centre of town, this park is very popular on the weekend for families with small children. There are a few rides for small children there . Well kept grounds with a small temple. Nice for a stroll.

Not far from Wudadao historical preserved area, there is a park called People’s Park. There is a big pond in the middle, and around it there is a walking way. It is a nice place to take a break. The entrance is free, but as I went there, there were not many people.

I guess winter is not the best time to visit this park, but nevertheless it is a relaxing oasis in the city. The channels and main pond were covered in ice, so the boats are not operating. In spring and summer the park will look beautiful with all the greenery in full bloom, but it’s a bit bare in winter.
