This visitor center overlooks the Kenai River and the Soldotna bridge over the river. There is a little nature walk nearby and fishing ramps on the water's edge. Interesting exhibits in the center about the area, including the largest King Salmon ever caught.

Come here to see stuffed animals, including the world record king salmon caught on the Kenai river, weighing in at over 97 pounds!

The visitor center has plenty to offer relative to suggestions of hikes and other activities in the area. The space is outfitted for people of all ages and can be very helpful in making the most of your limited travel time.

The Visitors Center in Soldotna is one of two visitors centers in the area. The Center is the better of the two and is worth a quick stop in. It offers some displays of a Kodiak bear, a Dall Sheep and some other animals. Also...More

Historical information and displays. Gift shop. Loads of local information. Discount coupons for local attractions. Very helpful , knowledgeable staff. An elevated walkway along the Kenai river is accessible just behind the center.
