My husband and I went out twice with Alaska Wildlife Guides looking for the northern lights. The first night, we went to Murphy dome - kind and thoughtful guide, comfortable van and six guests in total. We waited a good five - six hours, and saw some small activity, but it wasn’t the fault of the guides! The following evening we went to the Lodge and were lucky to have an excellent viewing evening, in a warm and comfortable lodge, where we could pop out onto a lovely verandah overlooking forested countryside. Taking good photos really needs a tripod, and ideally other guests not running about own the wooden floors, but this was a small price to pay for a superb evening. Would thoroughly recommend this outfitters.

We, as a group of 18 neighbors, were lucky to have Dave, Tyler and Barbara as our drivers and guides for the Heritage Tour of Fairbanks one day; Chena Hot Springs and Northern Lights Tour another day: Aurora Viewing Cabin still another day: and finally for the Arctic Circle Trip. They packed a lot of vacation into one week for us. All were very attentive to our needs as an "active adult" (read senior) group! The information/narration along the way was excellent. They were always punctual when it came to picking us up at our lodge. Although we did not see the full Auroras, we did get a glimpse of them on the Arctic Circle Trip. All in all it was a great experience with Dave, Tyler and Barbara and would recommend Alaska Wildlife Guide for excursions in Fairbanks Alaska. Thank you!

Enjoyed this tour very much. Visited the University's art museum, Visitor Center museum (which our tour guide, Clark, narrated for us), Santa Land, and the Alaskan Pipeline. Clark's narration throughout was very informative without sounding like a memorized speech. He accommodated any of our requests and went out of his way to make sure the tour met our expectations. Would definitely recommend this to anyone. Clark has been doing tours for 25+ years in various locals, so he is a pro!!

Guide should provide more information/stories about the area visited. Tour had lots of dead time. Ice museum was interesting, hot springs were good, but didn't even provide towels. Had to rent for $5.00. After an hour or so in the water, you sit around for 2 hours with little to do waiting to leave for northern lights site.. Restaurant was horribly disorganized, so impossible to dine there. "Cafe" was microwave breakfast sandwiches or hamburgers. Hot drink they promised was not provided.

It was overcast, and we did not see northern lights. From the time he picked us up, our guide kept saying we see them almost every night, even on cloudy nights. I wonder.....

In summary, it was a disappointing and way overpriced tour.

My husband and I greatly enjoyed our trip to the Artic Circle with this company. Our guide did a great job of providing educational information about the pipeline and the Dalton Hwy along with some great stories and interesting folklore. The trip went much faster than you would expect and met all our expectations. The van had large windows and the guide had passengers switch seats so all got a chance to ride up front if they wished to. The food provided as a snack (sandwich, chips, water and cookies) and the stew we ate at the Artic Circle was delicious. I felt we were well taken care of on this 13 hour round trip tour. We enjoyed the scenery, the stops along the way, and experiencing a trip to a remote part of beautiful Alaska. We give this trip an excellent rating!

I cannot say enough good things about this excursion, and in particular our guide, Tony. He was absolutely phenomenal and really made the experience. It was immediately obvious that he is extremely knowledgeable about Alaska. He told us interesting story after story, keeping us riveted the entire 5-6 hours to the Arctic Circle. It was also obvious that he could hold his own on the Dalton Highway and that our safety was his first priority. This was the experience of a lifetime, traveling the Dalton Highway, crossing the Yukon River, and crossing the Arctic Circle, and Tony made the experience all the more memorable.

I loved this tour so much! Bob was a great tour guide full of information and a great driver in bad weather conditions. He even stopped for us to take pictures of a moose. He was very clear with the plans and directions and meet up times, had great recommendations on what to eat and not eat at the hot springs and was really kind, personable and funny! Loved hearing his stories on the way back. He even saved someone that crashed down into a snow drift and took them back to the listed. What s as life saver! The hot springs were so relaxing and the food was actually good! Just beware that it’s SUPER HOT in the lodge and restaurant so be ready to sweat! We didn’t end up seeing the northern lights due to clouds and snow but Bob kept his eye out on the drive back and was willing to drive all night if we wanted to. He even stopped and got out to check a couple times. Highly recommend this tour and company!

We lucked out and had an amazing night with 3 hours of the Lights "dancing!" Bob picked us up right on time, and he made sure we had the best opportunities for viewing. It was great being at the Lodge so we could go inside and warm up when needed.

It was snowing pretty badly and our tour guide Tony offered us the choice of trying to see the Aurora anyway, or canceling. The group wanted to try. Even though we didn't see it, the trip was so much fun anyway thanks to Tony. He regaled us with stories, told us about different areas of Alaska as well as around Fairbanks, history, the Aurora etc. The time flew and we all had a great time and he really made the trip fun. Would definitely go on the tour again especially if he was the guide! Thank you Tony!

Caleb was our driver / guide for the excursion, and his genuine excitement for the aurora and just being in Alaska was contagious! From sharing details about living in Alaska to the how’s and why’s of the aurora to how to take photos of the show, we couldn’t have asked for a better guide or excursion ... memories for a lifetime. Keep looking up, Caleb!
