Really lovely campground. Lots of bugs but sites are spaced out, nice access to the river, great walking trails. BUT........they charged my credit card, said it didn't work, so I also wrote a check, and thus paid twice. I have been dealing with getting refunded for WEEKS. Super annoying that they can't just refund me $20. I have spent way more than $20 worth of my time dealing with it.

We had a wonderful picnic and the kids played in the water. There are many trails and the campground is attached. You need a car to get here but then you can do a lot of walking.

It's a very pretty area. We were there in May which was a weird time. Too cold for anything winter not warm enough for anything summer. All we could do was look.

So much to do here. Really fun for kids-swim beach, canoeing and hiking. Great trails for biking too. Lots wild life bd careful. The lake is only crowded in holiday weekends. Really nice for evening walks too.

Chena Lakes is a nice place to go for a hike, bike ride, or other outdoor activities. There’s a sunflower field in the far side of the dam that is worth a stop.

A great place to go hiking as there are miles of trails that easily accessible. The area is very scenic and wasn’t crowded at all during the week. It is a short drive from Fairbanks or the North Pole.

Beautiful, just beautiful. Well maintained area for boating, swimming, fishing, hiking, whatever you want to do. Large area, so people are pretty spaced out, you can definitely find your little plot of serenity to just...zen. Weather didn't cooperate to see the Northern Lights, but I'm told it's possible in the right conditions.

We got out and walked around at several places. One along the river where we found bear tracks. And we also walked around the lake some. It was a nice quiet place with beautiful scenery.
