Get out your wallets!
Jun 2021
The shop owners are knowledgeable and excited about the items they sell. They offer a wide variety of jewelry, knives, totems, carvings, etc. My son joked that Jesus attended the "Harvard School of Salesmen" because that man knows how to make a sale! We enjoyed chatting with them both and spent way more than we should have. 10 out of 10, would visit again!

Best shop in Ketchikan!
Jul 2021 • Couples
Just a fantastic shop with unique, one of a kind items. The owners source there items locally and will share info about the artists and craftsmen who made them! Great selection, reasonably priced treasures all from some very nice people!

Beautiful Native Art, Alaskan Carvings and Jewelry
Sep 2019
I loved this store as well as the owner and sales personnel. Everything was beautiful but I loved the time they took to tell us the stories behind the beautiful Dreamcatchers, various carvings and handcrafted art. We enjoyed the entire experience!

Helpful staff and beautiful store

I was looking for an authentic mask that would not break the bank and the staff here was willing to work with me to find the right one that we loved and it was within budget. Highly recommended.

Worth the Walk - Special Store
Aug 2019
We were looking for an authentic piece of jewelry for my husband that was made out of mammoth tusk. This shop had beautiful pieces at reasonable prices. We had been to other shops nearby, but the service here and selection was outstanding. We ended up making our purchase here and are very happy with it. In addition, we loved all the beautiful items not made in China.

This is a great place to find genuine Alaskan mementos, made in Alaska and not a factory overseas. All kinds of price ranges, and gifts from toys to jewelry, with a very helpful and accomodating staff to make your stay pleasant.

Sep 2019 • Couples

We are locals and do all my shopping between here and caribou creek. They have quality products local artists not mass produced in some factory. They have unique items and stand behind there sales.
Prices are reasonable as well. Highly recommend. Just a few photos of some of the things we have bought

Cruise to Ketchikan - Rain Barrel
Aug 2019 • Friends
Amazing customer service! I found earrings I really liked, but they had a back on it that I didn’t like. Wendy was great and switched out the backs! She even gave me back stoppers for them. If I ever find my way back to Ketchikan, I will be sure to visit The Rain Barrel again!

I loved this store!!!
Aug 2019
The Rain Barrel was such a sweet and welcoming store that provides a variety of local Alaskan merchandice for all types and ages. From toys to hand creams, everything you see is 100% Alaskan. Not only is the store charming but displays many historical replicas of Alaskan art; such as totem polls and moose antlers carvings. The owners are extremely pleasant, easy to work with and very knowledgeable about the history of Alaska. If you have the chance to stop by, even to say hello, I highly recommend it.

This shop has some of the most beautiful and quality items we've seen in Alaska. Pricing is reasonable, too.
