Ryan said this was almost heaven and he was right. A new vista at every mountain crest. Ryan brought us to the tops of the mountains, a riverbed teaming with salmon and a waterfall where we were so close that we got water on the windshield. Amazing! We saw wildlife( a bear, mountain goats, salmon so cool!). This helicopter tour was definitely the way to go. We saw things we couldn’t have seen any other way than by helicopter. I am sooooo happy we chose this tour with Ryan.

First trip to Alaska hoping to experience the wildlife and the glaciers. Took four helicopters rides in our two weeks and they were all great, but this small, family run company provided the most bang for the buck. Ryan McCue, owner/pilot, took my wife and I deep into the Alaskan rainforest where we saw a Black bear and her cub, and more bald eagles than I ever knew existed. We landed on a sandbar in the river where we were able to walk around and experience the salmon still running and the black bear was located. We also flew just above the surface of the river following it as it meandered through the forest. It was like being a part of our favorite dinosaur movie and we kept thinking we were going to see one around the next corner. Ryan is a great pilot, we always felt safe and secure and our only complaint is that the flight eventually had to end. We have seen all four Hawaiian islands and the Grand Canyon by helicopter, and this was the coolest trip of all. I would go again in a heartbeat.

An exciting and thrilling ride. You fly over the Alaskan wilderness in a helicopter with the doors off. We landed a couple times to switch seats and spent about 20 minutes walking around in an area by a stream in the middle of nowhere. I recommend this to anyone that want to see the wilderness but also wants some excitement.

Hands down the highlight of our Alaskan cruise. We called two days before to see if we could possibly get on a helicopter last minute. Our cruise had canceled our Juneau port and so any helicopter tours there were cancelled, so we were pretty bummed and hoped that Ketchikan would be a little better when it came to getting on a helicopter. My husband booked the flight with the nicest woman over the phone who didn't make us feel pressured in any way. She was super informative and sweet. Our email told us to meet someone from the company near the bronze statue near berth 2, so we waited a few minutes and no one approached us and there wasn't anyone with a sign for the company, so we were a little confused at first. Eventually we were able to find the person picking us up and he was apologetic that he didn't have the sign on him, so no worries there. The tour headquarters is one of the comfiest places I've been, it was so welcoming and everyone is just so nice. We were given a safety demo and Ryan Maehs flew us in one of the cleanest helicopters I've ever seen. Ryan was super knowledgeable and took us to see great wildlife and even landed for about 20 or so minutes while we were able to put our feet in the water and enjoy Alaskan nature away from the crowds. Truly an awe-inspiring moment. Thank you, Ketchikan Helicopters, for being so great. And thank you, Ryan, for putting up with us and allowing us to enjoy Alaska.
