Walked off the ship in Ketchikan to just walk around. Saw this and checked the offerings. The guide was superb, and we saw seals, eagles, totem poles, salmon spawning grounds....everything but bears. Guess the bears don't show up on command. :-)

This “wildlife tour” is anything but a wildlife tour just be aware. We saw more wildlife on our cruise ship then we did on this “wildlife tour”. I first had my suspicions at how bad this tour was going to be when the first stop was at a crappy building with a stuffed bear and wolf inside. When our second stop was on the side of the road by the city park I realized I had been scammed. On this “wildlife tour” I think I saw one eagle and some salmon in the river I could’ve seen that on my own without paying them $100 I know that wild life is unpredictable and you can’t plan on when they’ll be out and visible but you really shouldn’t advertise yourself as a wildlife tour when you have no intention of showing any wildlife. Ketchikan it’s a beautiful city with lots of touring options but it was probably my least favorite stop on our cruise because of these people. Save yourself the disappointment and go to the lumberjack show. I missed it because of this scam but I heard it’s an awesome show.

They got a '1' because I can't give them a 'zero'. Worst tour ever, it was like they picked someone off the street to give the tour....we heard all about this individual and his escapades but not enough about the area. I learned more from a local bartender about the area than I did on the tour. The tour was very 'haphazard', the desk reels you in with "it's normally $100/each but I'll give it to you for $60/each and tells you all the things you're going to see....none of which came to pass. I did complain and was told the owner was very invested in his company and would give me a call....not to happen yet! Guess they think they have captive audience which they do, but I did advise a few others who were on their way to Ketchikan to pick a different tour company.

We always book a city and local tour when we arrive on a cruise so we can get the lay of the land and decide what we want to do next. We booked the local city tour with them and were put in a van with six other folks. The guide was horrible. All he wanted to talk about was fishing and hunting. We got zero history and places of interest other than the obvious ones. We tried to contact the owner, but evidently he wasn't interested and after over a week it doesn't seem likely he will. There are lots of other options available and I would avoid this one.

They pass this off as a wildlife tour, but you never see any wildlife. The 1st 30mins were driving around looking at people’s houses, & a monotone speech about how the roads were built. The 2nd stop was an “eagle sanctuary”, but allegedly we missed the eagles by 3 weeks. So instead it was us getting a short speech about a totem pole while hoping someone would buy some salmon for sale. There were no birds, not even a seagull. After this it was a drive down the road, with the guide saying if someone sees a whale let him know & he’ll try & pull over. Spoiler alert-no whales. Then it was stopping at a dried-up creek bed to look for bears along with the 300 other tourists. The last stop was the totem pole park where he told us to stay together because it’s a 30min walk back to town. Which we were tempted to do just to get away. So, all in all, I would not do this again, nor would I recommend.
