I gave this a 1, because 0 was not an option. In May of 2022, my wife purchased what, for us, was a relatively expensive bracelet from the store Ketchikan, AK. By July, a stone and fallen out, and the bracelet became unwearable due to another breakage in the bracelet. An ensuing number of phone calls and emails accomplished nothing toward resolving our complaint. As luck would have it, we returned to that same store this morning. My wife very calmly and patiently made her case, complete with all necessary documentation. The gentleman who was serving her was flippant, condescending, and borderline rude, which made my wife cry. After she left the store in tears, leaving me alone with the staff, they then offered to replace the bracelet with a very similar, but slightly more expensive model. I Coaxed my teary-eyed wife back into the store to approve the exchange, to which she eventually agreed. Upon placing the bracelet on her wrist, it was too large, so she inquired if they could adjust the size to fit her wrist. This set the sales staff into a quandary, which required consulting yet another manager, and his suggestion was to give her a lesser model, but one that might fit better. We declined his offer, took the replacement bracelet, and left the store. We will get it sized when we get home. We will, however, never spend another red cent with this company, and would encourage a wholesale, full scale boycott of this store. There are simply too many other good, reputable jewelry sellers at every cruise ship port to have to tolerate that type of treatment from the sales staff. I would further encourage the cruise lines to sever their relationships with this company, as no self-respecting cruise line would allow that degree of poor customer service by their employees, and should demand better customer service from their contractors.
