We did the Rainforest Sanctuary, Totem Park and Eagles tour with Bryn?
Our driver picked us up promptly at the Rain Gauge near the Visitor’s Center. 15 minutes later we were at the edge of the Rainforest. Our guides led us through a world different seemingly removed from the real world, though some sounds and smells did infiltrate.
Bryn introduced us to banana slugs, and at least two folk in our group were very excited. We saw some amazing Sitka Spruce. Then we were led to the creek filled with salmon and gulls fishing for their next meal. And a black bear, too! We really enjoyed the Raptor Rehab Center. It is great to know these amazing creatures are being cared for by people who know what they are doing.
We toured an abandoned saw mill with huge cross sections of trunks left for us to view. We were lucky to witness the carving of a totem. The tools used by the artist did not seem big enough for the job. We toured the Totem Park with towering carvings. Each told its own story, and we were happy to read the explanation below each of them.
I really enjoyed this snapshot into the culture, history, flora and fauna of the area. We were lucky to have a partly cloudy day, which made it even more enjoyable.

We stayed in Alaska for 16 days. Mentioning this because we did a LOT! Out of all the activities done, the ziplines and sky bridges were #1! Scenery was great even though misty and rainy. Our guides, Daniel and Loki, had matching sense of humor with us, which made it awesome! Thank you for starting off our trip with the best! I’ve done several ziplines in the past in other states and countries. Safety checks and tests were done to include a short zipline in the beginning to ensure everyone knew what to do (i.e. breaking and how to hang). Had 2 teens and a 10 year with me. Highly recommend this zipline tour!

Zip lining with Chris and Tabby. What an awesome time. Would highly recommend to anyone. My wife was so nervous but they took it slow and she did everything. All the zip lines and the bridges.
Thankyou so much to Chris and Tabby who were both fantastic. Highlight was zipping past a balls Eagle right there beside us in the tree tops.

We participated in Zip Lining through Ketchikan Rain Forest. It was very well organized. All safety measures were taken and they take it very seriously along with making sure everyone has a great time. Our Zip-line guides, Xavier and Loki were your ultimate professionals and fun at the same time. Highly recommended.

Our first ziplining experience. Trystyn and Peyton were absolutely incredibly patient with us and eased the anxiety. Their focus and professionalism made the experience a wonderful memory. I can't say enough about how well they took care of us.

Adventure Kart excursion..save your money! You rode the kart on a poorly kept up road. Trees were on the sides of the road. You had a stop to overlook the water from high atop a hillside and another stop at a waterfall that was off far in the distance. I guess I was expecting to ride actually in the wilderness not on a road full of pot holes. No bottle water available or snacks. This excursion was not worth the money or time...

We zip lined. Great time. Friendly, experienced and knowledgeable operators. Mack and Daniel were patient and efficient. Highly recommend. I am 61 years old and 6’1 and weigh about 240lbs. Not a problem and had a lot of fun. My wife, who is afraid of heights and had second thoughts about going, also had an amazing time and was very glad she went.

This was our second experience ziplining, but first time with suspension bridges and the short rappel. Tristan and Kayle (sorry, about the probable misspelling) were fantastic guides. Beautiful terrain, great guides. After taking off gear and going outside, came within 15' of a black bear that came out of the trees (a bit scary, but very cool). Everyone was excellent

Trip was dope. Was like playing Wario Stadium on Mario Kart 64 but in real life. If I had compare our trip leader Jonny to a 90s rapper, it would be Biggie Smalls. Jonny actually stopped on the middle of the ride, cawed the national anthem in falsetto, and made a bald eagle give a high five before feeding it salmon (which Johnny caught with his bare hands btw). Jonny is a modern day Jack Sparrow, with smoldering eyes to boot. If you don’t enjoy this trip, you’re a commie. 11/10 would shred again.

No way for a carrier to be strapped in properly. These are truly off road. Your 7 year old would enjoy it but I personally would not recommend it for a 4 year old. There are also only 2 seats per vehicle.
I’m 32 and looking for a fun fast paced and muddy 4x4 excursion . Did the takshanuk 4x4 tour last time we took a cruise in Alaska. we were both severely underwhelmed. Was described as strenuous and fast paced, which was far from the truth. I’ve seen pictures of splashing through mud puddles.

We certainly enjoyed it but no nothing about the previous trip you did. I suspect this may be a little too tame for you to

We are considering this adventure. My elderly dad will be with us who has a bad back will be with us. Is it to rough for him?
Adrianna Oliva

Hi and thank you for your interest. Our tour is rated "strenuous" due to the nature of the course. It is very bumpy and there are numerous potholes that can not be avoided. Although you have control of the speed and kart maneuverability it is highly recommended that anyone with neck / back issues takes this into consideration.

The carts are designed for 2 people. Can I do the adventure if I have one licensed driver and 2 children that are not licensed?
Adrianna Oliva
Ketchikan, AK3 contributions
Hello from Ketchikan! Sorry for the late response, but to answer your question we do have 4 seat karts. They are limited so your best bet is to reserve a 4-seater. You can email or call to make this reservation from our website.
One child with the parent/guardian and the other riding with a guide is also an option as long as the children are within our guidelines of at least 50 inches tall and 40 pounds.

Old clothes. If its wet you will be muddy. If its dry you will be dusty. They will provide wet gear if its muddy.
