Took a boat ride and really enjoyed it! The crew was great and the ride was fun. Allen Marine Misty Fjords and Wilderness Explorer trip was great.

Long Ride-110 miles on a catamaran. The national monument is beautiful, but it takes about 2 hours to get there and 2 hours back. Saw one whale briefly, but the object was to get there and get back. Out tour guide Lucy made the trip...More

We were fortunate that there had been rain, so there were plenty of waterfalls to see. Our tour was called Misty Fjords & Wilderness Explorer through Allen Marine. The ride to and from was comfortable and informative.

Amazing trip!!! We also got very lucky with both amazing weather AND seeing Orcas unexpectedly (more than on the whale watching tour we took a few days earlier in Juneau).

Misty Fjords is truly beautiful but the ride is two hours out, two hours back and 45 minutes at Misty Fjords. You are traveling at a speed that you really cannot see an eagle or bear on the shore, I was disappointed.

The monument is amazing. We took a boat fromKetchikan. The ride took about 4 hours but it didn’t seem that long. From the boat we saw many bald eagles, harbor seals and in a couple place we saw salmon jumping. The water falls are amazing

I wish I knew the name of the tour company who took us to Misty Fjord so I could leave this review for them, but we took a boat tour as an excursion from a Princess cruise. It was great. The boat is nice and...More

We booked a boat tour through Princess Cruises. The boat was well equipped with snacks served as well as hot cocoa. The guides were excellent and explained the history, geography and topography. The day we were there, the fjords were not so misty. We also...More

I really wasn't sure what this would be like but I'm so glad that I went. We really travelled further away from Sitka than I realized.

We started our 14 day vacation in Ketchikan, and seeing the Mendenhall Glacier was a good place to start. Beautiful and amazing!

We were on Princess. No it could not be seen from Cruise Ship. It was a 50 minute ride out to see it and 50 minutes back. It was beautiful and awe inspiring. Hook up with a half day trip provider. It’s worth it.

I believe there is a visitor center located at 1515 Tongass in Ketchikan. You should be able to get your stamp there. If you are planning an air tour, I highly recommend Island Wings Air Service. If you are looking for a... More
