There are few ways to get here so most visit by air, which can give you just a taste of the size and variety of the landscape as you climb from sea level to pristine lakes thousands of feet up.

We took a small plane and flew up and it was stunning. The view was truly stunning and a complete joy. The only shame was that we were not there longer as it was so relaxing, We landed on a lake and there was only 5 people there, silent, calm as a massive mill pond

I went on a cruise excursion to the beautiful Misty Fjords National Monument, which is actually a very remote section of Alaska set aside for people to enjoy. The tall cliffs, bleached seashore, misty seascape, and quietness all contributed to the awesome experience. We viewed several bald eagles and a few curious sea lions. Our onboard naturalist shared many interesting... More

We visited this via seaplane and it was cool to see. We seen the glaciers, trees, wildlife, and got some cool pictures. The island of seals we seen was cool. The scenery up there is second to none.

Booked this excursion on Princess Cruises for $199.95. Excursion lasted 4 1/2 hours and consists of a ride on a very new boat followed by a 1/2 hour float plane ride back to Ketchikan. Saw a few bald eagles on the boat but not much whale activity. Naturalist on the boat ride gave good information, ride was very smooth and... More

Took this floatplane tour of the Misty Fjords off a cruise. We were lucky to have a sunny afternoon; heard the morning trips were cancelled due to heavy rain. Beautiful scenery!

The beauty of Misty Fjords will take your breath away. We visited via seaplane and appreciated the opportunity to enjoy vistas that would not have been accessible by land or sea. We enjoyed seeing the glaciers, punchbowl lakes, mountain goats, seals, and other flora and fauna of the region. This would be an interesting place to spend a week camping... More

Cruising with Celebrity Solstice we had seen the most fabulous scenery. We were lucky to have nice moderate weather to enjoy the views!

My wife and I took this excursion on a recent trip to Alaska. It was well worth it! Incredible scenery even in not-so-great weather. Love to do this again!

I could make this a one word review.....wow!!! Took Allen Boats from the cruise ship to get to Misty Fjords. First, the logistics. You take a 200 foot walk from the cruise ship to the tour boat. VERY knowledgeable tour guides on board. Provided lots of snacks, bathroom on board. Lower level is enclosed, top level is half enclosed, half... More
