Overview
More
This tour is also known as "Deadliest Catch Crab Fishermen's Tour". You can come aboard the "Aleutian Ballad" crabbing vessel as seen on season 2 of the Discovery Channel's "Deadliest Catch". Depart Ketchikan Alaska for a 3 hour trip to catch king crab, snow crab, octopus, fish, prawns and more. This tour also features some of the best eagle viewing on the planet. Share the allure and adventure that draw fishermen to the sea. Fishing legends that have worked the Bering Sea are your guides, some you may have seen on TV. The vessel has been retrofitted for guests comfort and fun, with a "live" tank on deck to allow for closer viewing of the wondrous creatures brought on board. Guests stay warm, dry and comfortable while we sail calm and protected waters. This is the REAL ALASKA and you won't want to miss it! Age limit for this tour is 5 years old due to maritime regulations.

We had a fun time on this tour. We were able to interact with the crew and hold some cool crabs and prawns. The eagles were amazing!

Well worth it! We did this excursion in May and the weather was perfect and the experience itself was perfect. My mother, teenager, and 10 year old all enjoyed it.

This is a must do on your cruise itinerary. As fishermen we were skeptical of this tour but boy were we surprised. The crew were wonderful educators and entertaining story tellers. Forget what you thought you knew about fishing, the outdoors and enjoy the experience.

No coupons - but purchasing through the tour rather than the ship is less expensive in most cases.

They do not kill any fish on this trip. They do pull the pots but everything is thrown back in the water. They do have fish cut up to feed the eagles. But it’s cut up already and you don’t see it.

This really should not be an issue. The entire time is spend on the inside passage not in the open sea.
