We stopped by while in the area. The church was locked up but we took pictures from the outside. Signs tell you abut the history.

Beautiful building and history. well maintained grounds. The type of place that reinforces that faith built this nation and state and I appreciate that it is being preserved.

Unfortunately right now Aug 2017 the church and gift shop are closed due to construction. I did walk around the grounds, reading the information plaques and got some beautiful pictures. Very limited parking. Close to several other historic churches and a beautiful city park. I...More

I drove across the Kenai peninsla to see this church. It's not a very big church but it has been lovingly restored and is still used today. The inside is ornately decorated and a must-see. I was lucky to get there when the overseer was...More

Great photo stop and time to reflect/pray on how great it is to be here, and the chance to visit Alaska. I visited in late evening so the chapel and gift shop were closed so I can't speak about the insides.

We visited the gift shop next to the church staffed by a very nice volunteer,...who happens to be a long time attendee of this church. It is an operating church, so not usually open to tourism, but you can see a lot by just visiting,...More

Interesting little church. A priest was there to answer questions and was very knowledgable. The church has been well preserved. Many beautiful paintings of saints, Virgin Mary & Christ. An antique chandelier is lit with candles & very unique. Free with a suggested donation of...More

This place is on the top of my list to show people from out of town. The area also has some of the first buildings built in Kenai. It is a true gem.

This is a very beautiful well preserved church. It's Russian Orthodox architecture is something to behold. It would have been nice to be able to go inside, but the outside is enough to justify the visit.
