Not sure what tourist/visitors to Kenai would do except visit the gift shop. But this is an excellent place to take kids to for an excellent space learning experience.

I'm not sure what a tourist would see and do here if anything, but for the local students, this is a great facility. There might be another section of the facility that I did not see, however. The learning center portion has different "space missions" that the students go on such as creating a colony on the moon or Mars. The students each have different jobs that must be completed in order for the mission to succeed. The staff ensures the tasks get performed. The mission I saw required a lot of reading and typing. The students who could not read or type fast got overwhelmed. There are also robot arms to play with and a small model-sized lunar rover to put together. All-in-all, it was a pretty neat experience.

This is a learning center for children. Not much to really walk in and see. It can host events but not just a walk through.

This is a great place in Alaska to experience the American space program. They have programs for kids of varying ages. I've taken classrooms of students there and I've been there several times with a group of adults. I participated in space flight simulations. The first time it truly was fun and educational. Sadly each visit back it became more mundane. However, kids would love it and do love it.

We took a group to a two-hour lesson on flight. It basically consisted of having the students make paper planes and throw them around both inside and outside. I can do this for much less $ and much more creativity. I was disappointed! I timed our Instructor for 2 minutes and she said "Okay" more than 80 times...
