We had a great experience with Juneau Food Tours during our June 2021 visit! It's a great way to spend a couple hours and you learn a lot about Juneau and the restaurant scene. You definitely will want to return to some of the restaurants to try out additional dishes on your own. (We ended up eating lunch at the McGivney's out near Mendenhall Glacier since we had visited the downtown location during our tour and knew we liked it!) We were lucky enough to have Midgi the owner as our guide and it was great learning all about her business beginnings and her passion for the food scene and living in Juneau. This is a great, unique activity in Juneau.

We were lucky to join this Food Tour during the pandemic in Juneau. Our guide was exceptional in his knowledge of Juneau and overall knowledge of Alaska (he was from Fairbanks). The food options were the local establishments and all were exceptional tastes, I highly recommend this to familiarize yourself with the local history AND enjoy delicious local food. Definitely worth the money

We had the honor of experiencing some of the amazing tastes of Juneau recently. The salmon dip was extraordinary, and our tour guide, Jaimie, was very knowledgeable about the area, explaining the stories behind murals and statures scattered throughout downtown. We had the opportunity to try foods we'd never had, and her recommendations hit the spot! The groups aren't too large, so it made for a comfortable experience. Thanks to Jaimie and her supervisor, who made for an incredibly enjoyable day!

We found this tour by chance as our group of 10 people were keen to explore and discover the secrets of Juneau. Basically get amongst it..
Iola our TG did not miss anything with a smile and passion for the town as we tour around. The stories are great and filled with great knowledge and memories of the city and surrounding areas. We absolutely loved the time we spent with Iola and had loads of fun with her. A highly recommended tour indeed and we grab some more time at the cafes, bars and restaurants Iola mentioned on the tour. Well done on a fun time.

What a truly wonderful experience. Our tour guide met us at the pier where our ship had docked and started off with sharing her knowledge of Juneau as well as the places she would be taking us to sample local fare. Her knowledge of and passion for Juneau was absolutely wonderful and it was very evident that she loves Juneau. The places we went were amazing in different ways, and the food was wonderful. It was a really nice variety of different items and locations. One of my favorite stops was the tea shop, as I love tea and the one we were able to sample there was absolutely amazing. Bought some to take home and will probably order more. If this is something that you are thinking about doing, please do it. It is a very nice walking tour and I learned so much about not only the food of course, but Juneau itself. What a truly beautiful way to see Juneau and experience a nice variety of truly local foods.

We did this the first evening in Juneau and that was a good call. We visited 8 or 9 culinary eateries in town, got the layout of downtown, and learned some interesting history about Juneau from our guide, Lorinda, who was very personable. We returned to a couple of the places we tased at for another meal during our 6 days in Juneau. Highlights: Tracy's Crab Shack (amazing crab bisque), SALT (fabulous halibut salad), Deckhand Daves (yummy halibut chowder and 3 fish taco sampler). FYI - all but one or two stops were seafood dishes so if you don't eat seafood this is not the tour for you.

Meh. Tour scheduled for 12pm-2:30 pm , 8 stops. That should be enough for lunch, right? Well one stop was 2 oz of tea, one was 3oz of blueberry Mojito. The others were great food, but not enough of it to substitute for lunch. Maybe I expected too much for $129. I weigh 135 lb and do not eat a lot, surely I wouldn’t leave hungry right? VERY OVER PRICED. Disappointed and I rarely leave a bad review. Loved the food at Tracy’s Crab Shack, Taku Smokeries, Roma Bistro and Deckhand Daves. Potions were tiny. Need more stops or more than 1/8 oz ceviche & chips at a stop.

This is an outstanding tour. We have done several food tours in different cities and this was the best. All of the food was great, would definitely return to every place we sampled to eat again. But the tour was not just about food. Our Gide did a great job of explaining the history and culture of Juneau as well so really counts as a city tour as well as a food tour. Would do again!

We had never done a food tour and I did not know what to expect. It was just awesome. You have a guide who shares the cities great stories making stops along the way to sample culinary delights. Asian/mex fusion nachos, rock fish taco and of course native Alaskan halibut were among our delights. Due to Covid and some places being closed they combined a food and beverage tour so we also enjoyed some of Alaskan’s favorite beers and topped it off with the famous Eagle Fart shot (tastes way better than it sounds so make sure you give it a try). Loved this experience. salted rock Carmel’s way good too! Our guide was a local and knowledgeable and just an overall threat guy - thank you Joel!!

My wife and I did food tours in other countries/cities and the Juneau food tour did not disappoint. Leslie was our guide, and we ended up having a private tour (just my wife and me) which was great! All of the food places along the tour were local and great - many that we would not have found on our own. We also appreciated the historical information about Juneau that Leslie shared. Definitely recommend this tour if you want to enjoy some good food/drink and want to learn about Juneau!
