I've been to Nugget Falls before - about 20 years ago. Back then, you could walk out almost directly to the falls. Today, most of the old trail is under water. But it's worth the current hike. You just may find it a bit crowded,...More

This impressive waterfall is an easy hike and well worth doing. It we be a shame to make it the glacier and not get close to the fall.

We took a full day bus tour to get to the falls but it was worth the day to see these falls. Great opportunity to get pictures in front of the falls.

Beautif falls just a short walk from the Mendenhall Glacier visitor center. The walk is easy and the falls are magnificent.

It was a rainy day, but we hiked to the falls regardless. The views of Mendenhall Glacier were beautiful, the trail very well maintained and the falls spectacular!

We arrived around in the later afternoon and really wanted to get in at least a short hike, but weren't sure if that would even be possible. Luckily, the walk to Nugget Falls is not long at all and had such a lovely pay-off with...More

If you can spare an hour, walk the trail behind the Visitors Centre, walk about 3km & stand at the base of this huge torrent of walk & gawk! Fun to do!

I am so glad I took the time to walk back to the Falls from the visitor center. The roundtrip hike was only 2 miles, and well worth it. You can walk right up to the Falls, and the Glacier is right next to it!

not a long hike from the visitor center .... a slight downslope going to, so a slight upslope coming back. Lots of water cascading down the cliffs ... during spring it must be overwhelming. Well worth going to see.

Yeah you can take it, but you have to take it outside the cruise. Right there in the pier there some drivers that can take you over there.

Not sure, the park rangers are always there, seek their input before you hike. If they saw caution or if closed, listen to them!
