I was on a Disney cruise up to Alaska and decided to get away fishing while in Juneau. I did some research and ended up going with Moore Charters. The service I received starting with the Reservationist, Deck Hands and Captain Wyatt was amazing. We first went to the Halibut feeding grounds and we all started to land fish. Wyatt... More

Captain Wyatt and Nani were professional, funny, really good at their job - our extended family had a wonderful day. We went fishing for Halibut - we all caught one easily. First, Wyatt and Nani are awesome tour guides. They know the waters, and are very knowledgeable about everything you will see. We saw many whales, and sea lions, what... More

The limit for halibut is one halibut measuring "roughly" under 42 inches or over some huge number. Cpt.Wyatt explained that the length translated into under 30 lbs or over 285 lbs. Cleverly we decided to concentrate on whale watching. Just kidding. We limited out catching one of each bracket...1@10lbs, 1@ 15lbs and 1@ 25lbs. One of us, who will remain... More

Great fishing with a wonderful crew. We all got our halibut within the first hour, and spent the rest of the time salmon fishing. The captain knew what he was doing, and was entertaining as well. I would highly recommend Moore Charters.

Our captain Wyatt was great - younger guy, but knowledgable and good conversation. We saw some whales, sea lions, and bald eagles. Disappointed that we only caught one small 5lb halibut (that we threw back) after 4 of us fished for 4 hours. We tried 6 different spots, but no luck. The boat was in good shape, plenty of room... Captain Grant truly loves what he does and it's contagious. We had such a stroke of luck when we saw several whales and dozens of sea lions. It was a very exciting and comfortable trip and I would highly recommend this experience!

We booked a whale watching tour with Moore Charters based on a recommendation from our hotel - fantastic! End of October is not typical whale watching season but Captain Ben did an amazing job finding all the whales for us! He was very knowledgeable and shared stories that made the adventure all that much more fun.

We booked an excursion through Disney Cruise Line Port Adventures and ended up spending an amazing day whale watching, fishing Lynn Canal and Auke Bay with Captain Ben and his trusty deckhand, Jared. Our children, ages 4, 10, & 12, fished with us and our party was 6 people aboard the Equinox. We caught halibut and salmon from the moment... More

We had five people on board fishing, and everyone caught at least two fish. Our Captain Wyatt and deckhand Meridith were great. It's kind of pricey. You will have to purchase a license ($20) and then shipping fish home is rather expensive. However, it is a great experience, and we saw whales which was an added bonus.
