We booked a whale watching tour with Moore Charters based on a recommendation from our hotel - fantastic! End of October is not typical whale watching season but Captain Ben did an amazing job finding all the whales for us! He was very knowledgeable and shared stories that made the adventure all that much more fun.

We booked an excursion through Disney Cruise Line Port Adventures and ended up spending an amazing day whale watching, fishing Lynn Canal and Auke Bay with Captain Ben and his trusty deckhand, Jared. Our children, ages 4, 10, & 12, fished with us and our party was 6 people aboard the Equinox. We caught halibut and salmon from the moment... More

We had five people on board fishing, and everyone caught at least two fish. Our Captain Wyatt and deckhand Meridith were great. It's kind of pricey. You will have to purchase a license ($20) and then shipping fish home is rather expensive. However, it is a great experience, and we saw whales which was an added bonus.

We booked a half day halibut trip very last minute when we had to dock the cruise ship in juneau one night early because of wind conditions. We were not disappointed. In fact, our fishing trip with moore charters was the absolute best part of our trip altogether, hands down. they taught us exactly what we needed to do, and... More

Captain Wyatt and First Mate Katie were awesome! We were "Cruisers" looking for a family salmon fishing experience. We were paired with locals looking to fish for the experience and dinner table. EVERYONE on our boats caught a salmon. The kids from both families caught two. Wyatt and Katie were so hospitable, we forgot we were on a charter and... More

Booked through Disney cruise line and a fantastic way to enjoy the Alaskan wildlife at your own pace. Captain Wyatt was awesome and extremely knowledgable. He took us to amazing spots to see seals and sea lions. Then we embarked on phenomenal humpback whale watching where we were treated to a calf playing in the ocean. Captain Wyatt took great... More

After reading the reviews here on Trip Advisor, we chose Moore Charters for a salmon fishing trip and were not disappointed! Captain Ben took myself, my wife and my 12 y/o nephew out for a 4 hour trip and it was excellent! Captain Ben was very knowledgeable and fun to be around. We each caught 2 good sized salmon to... Words can not describe the FANTASTIC day we had thanks to Moore Charters. The Alaskan Goose captained by Anies and first mate Tim was so much fun. If I am ever fortunate enough to go back to Juneau I would request them over and over and over. In our 4 hour trip, me, my husband and our 3 teenage boys... More

My wife, two sons (8 and 6), daughter (2) and I went fishing with Capt. Ben and Nani. We had an incredible time - caught a bunch of halibut, silver salmon, various others we tossed back (not legal or inedible species), saw whales, and watched bald eagles feed. They were absolutely great with the kids. We'll be eating halibut for... More

Very informative and helpful folks. There is a fish limit of one per person on the boat which they didn't tell me about, thus the 4 instead of 5. They were helpful in assisting me with a plan to bring my fish home with me instead of sending to the shipper.
