I am a bit delayed in posting this review. I am putting together our albums just now from last year, and I felt compelled to let everyone know how much we STILL talk about this specific part of our trip. Our musher Acacia Hammel was so patient as we figured out who wanted to ride where, and she stopped and let us change positions at different points in our journey. Our day was perfect - It was in the low 60s and sunny, which added to our fun. The whole experience was so smooth and all the staff was delightful.

Took the trip out of Skagway. This was the highlight of our Alaskan vacation. Our guide, Riley Dyche, was awesome. So cool to mush with an actual Iditarod musher and hear the stories from the trail. Can't thank you enough and can't wait to be back!

This was without a doubt the most amazing part of our journey to Alaska and that is saying a lot. Our musher (Acacia Hammel) was a great source of information and inspiration. She was even very accommodating with my 78 year old mother-in-law moving slowly. If you are deciding between this and anything else do this experience.

Dog sledding on a glacier in Alaska. I don't know that vacation adventures get more epic than that! We went on a 7 day cruise this summer and this was the ONLY excursion we booked. And boy did it impress. The whole thing was just WOW. From the helicopter ride over the Mendenhall Glacier (I might have cried over the grandeur of it all) to riding along with these happy & energetic dogs to cuddling with a hysky puppy and doing it all on top of the world. **Matt Hall was our musher and he was fantastic. He made the experience super fun, he was really knowledgeable, and you could tell he just loved his job. The dogs are friendly and playful. Although, as Matt introduced us to all the dogs in the team and we gave them a friendly pet/hello, he informed us of one dog we should skip over because he wasn't AS friendly. We appreciated that he was aware of his dog's temperaments and informed us accordingly. Wonderful experience. I highly recommend this to anyone!

My husband, myself, son and daughter-in-law took a once in a lifetime Alaskan vacation cruise in July. One of the shore-excursions was a short helicopter ride to the Mendenhall Glacier to see 280 sled dogs and take a short ride on the dog sled with the owner of a team - Shaynee Seipke. Shaynee took part in the Iditarod, I believe last year, and completed the race from Anchorage to Nome! She was wonderful and we had a fantastic ride with the doggies. I admit to being a bit nervous about the "helicopter ride", but it was fantastic and the views georgeous. I highly recommend this expedition if you can do it!
