As the name says, this is a combination of guided bus tour of Douglas Island and Juneau, a tram ride to the top of Mount Roberts, a short hike along a nature trail ending with a sampling of teas and jams made from local berries. Our guide - while only having recently moved to Juneau - certainly knew the place... More

Recently returned from my Alaskan vacation through Princess Cruises. One of the excursions I selected was a Whale Watching Excursion run by Gastineau Guiding. We had a fantastic time! Our guide was Mirceu Brown and he made the event so much fun and entertaining. If you have a brand new professional camera you are learning to use, this excursion was... More

what a great first hand experience for whale watching. loved being on a small research boat with only 20 other people. loved learning about the on going research to monitor the whales. we got to pull up the crab pot and check out the contents- including a starfish with 19 legs. Katy Bear was the most amazing tour guide. she... More

My wife and I went on the whale watching tour on 8/20/16. We had a great time. Our tour guide, Rhianna was very informative and made the trip a lot of fun! We saw about 12 whales and 2 bubble net feedings! Rhianna said it was unusual to see one bubble net feeding let alone two. We felt really blessed.

This tour gives you an historical tour of the town and an opportunity to take a tram up a mountain. Our guide "Lars" certainly knew this stuff and had an incredible knowledge of the flora and fauna. Great tour, great guide

Took a guided hike near Mendenhall Glacier. It was so nice to be with a knowledgeable and personable guide! Kristin S did a phenomenal job and had obviously worked very hard to really learn the area. Much appreciated!

We went on a two part tour which consisted of a morning whale watch and a hike towards Mendenhall Glacier. It was awesome. We saw a family of Humpback whales and were able to watch them swim for awhile. After we docked, we loaded a bus to the hike. We were given a bottle of water and a bag with... More

We did a photography tour with Kristin S and Capt Jen. It was wonderful. Both guides were experienced, knowledgeable and fun. They knew how to make sure we saw all the tour promised, and had a love for their job.

I can't begin to describe the emotions felt when seeing the whales for the first time. It was awe inspiring. The first leg of our trip was on the Island Princess. We arrived in Juneau August 6, 2016. Originally, we weren't going to do a whale watching adventure. I was quite skeptical about it. Will we really see whales? If... More

Keith Pahiki was our tour guide. He was so knowledgeable and friendly. The boat only takes a small group and we learned a lot as we were given the opportunity to pull up a crab pot, look at a fresh sample of plankton and we learned all about the hump back whale and its habits. We saw lots of whales,... More
