The boat is reasonably comfortable, and the surrounding nature is impressive. We saw dozens of whales, different types (jubarte, killer). They never appeared to be in a hurry to finish the tour.

Our cruise ship, the Amsterdam, stopped in Juneau, the capital of Alaska. We had opted for a shore excursion to see the Mendenhall Glacier and go for whale watching. Whales had always held a special attraction for me - ever since seeing pictures of them...More

Booked a whale watching trip with Whale Tales by the dockside in Juneau. Cheaper than booking thru the cruise on that day, because it was a 'quiet' day. Leaves by bus from Mt Roberts Tramway right by the dock. 25 min journey so you see...More

My husband and I did this excursion on our honeymoon and had a blast! The co captain was very knowledgeable and the captain got us as close as possible to the whales without scaring them off. Would do it again tomorrow!

My kids came to visit and I took them on their first whale watching trip. My daughter loves whales and everything about them. During our voyage towards the North pass, an employee on the boat started talking to my daughter(my daughter is very shy). She...More
