We signed up for helicopter/dog sled tour. Everything was orderly as we checked in and received safety instructions. The pilot zoomed us quickly to Norris Glacier. He stayed in the area while we did our dog sled run--about 45 min. Then he capably flew us back to Juneau. The pilot had 10+ years experience and pointed out views and glaciers.

We've always wanted to go sled dogging and this was an amazing experience. When looking at trips this was one of the few where you have a chance to stand on the skids and get a feel for what it's like to actually mush. The time on the glacier with the dogs goes by quickly and we could have stayed... More

Amazing! I had never been in a helicopter before and the ride was so smooth! I was not at all scared once the ride started. The view of the glaciers was breathtaking! Once we landed we got mush sled dogs! We saw hundreds of dogs at a camp on a glacier. The sleds were made so you could mush the... More

We did the helicopter and dog sledding tour. Great sites and scenery. The helicopter had great views and with adrenaline. The dogs pulled us on the glacier and very very sweet. My wife now wants to be a dog musher and helicopters pilot.

On May 31, 2016, we started our excursion being pick up in a van very close to our ship (Norwegian Pearl). The driver was very polite and gave us some facts about Juneau. Once at the base we watched a short instruction video. We were geared up with boot covers and life vest and assigned a helicopter. My friend and... More

My husband's dream to to mush a dog sled on snow. We took the helicopter to the top of a glacier where there was a dog camp set up. The experience far exceeded our expectations. The flight was beautiful and the pilot provided narration about what we were flying over. We were broken into small groups 2-4 so that everyone... More

Rave, rave, rave. The helicopter trip up over Juneau then onto the Glacier to meet the 'real deal' dog sledders and their beautiful dogs has been the highlight of my Coral Princess Alaska cruise. These moulers live in a frozen paradise. Thanks for sharing it with me.

We just traveled on 7-night Inside Passage cruise on Crown Princess and Juneau was our first port of call. Very hard to choose as there so many great things to do here, but I had friends that said this is a must do & they were right. First class operation that makes memories that will last a lifetime! From the... More

We originally signed up for a dogsledding tour on a glacier with Era, and unfortunately as a result of weather, the trip was cancelled. However, Era quickly stepped in and suggested their "walk on a glacier" tour which was operating, and WOW - what an experience. We helicoptered to a beautiful glacier and our pilot landed and we did a... More

Dog Sledding on a glacier! What everyone thinks of when they think of Alaska! We rode in helicopters to Norris Glacier with ERA helicopter service to a dog sled camp where we got to not only ride on a dog sled, but “drive” it too. You have no idea how quiet it is until you are “dashing through the snow”... More
