Rode in a van to the brewery from the souvenir shop. Tasted several brews and learned the history of the brewery. They have souvenirs at the brewery also and we all had a great time. Bought 2 beer signs for our man cave and had them shipped by the girls at the souvenir shop. They arrived much sooner than I... More

From a cruise we went to Mendenhall glacier and Alaska Brewing is on the way only 5 miles from the port. Taxi cabs are available by phone. The main gift shop is in town near the port. The brewery has a small tasting area. You get about 6 good size samples and a beer talk for $5. Not much to... More

We browsed through the Alaskan Brewing Company's store in downtown Juneau and bought some of the best t-shirts and gifts. As tourists we found our stops including Juneau, to be filled with the cheap cruise paraphernalia that you would find in most tourist traps. This store was the best. Good quality gifts. So sorry we didn't have time for the... More

Nice place, you can get three small samples of different beers on tap or one regular size beer free every day. The tour costs five bucks and you don't actually go in the brewery. You get six samples and a coozy. The pilot series beers are pretty good and the IPA'S are excellent.

We wandered into the downtown store (very nice by the way, not all packed in like many of the other stores nearby) and were able to pick up the shuttle to the brewery. Had a nice talk with local driver about growing up in Juneau and once at the brewery had a nice history about the beer brand and were... More

I've always been a fan of Alaskan Brewery for a while now. Visiting Juneau meant that the brewery was a must! I wasn't disappointed. We had a rental car but they also have a shuttle that takes people from their depot along the waterfront to the brewery. You can have three free beers in the tasting. The tour is done... More

We enjoyed our visit to Alaskan Brewery. Their beer is great and the people are friendly. We paid $20/each at their "Depot" by the pier for transport to the brewery and also got 6 tastings and a coozie and "tour" (basically a small group talk in a viewing area overlooking the original brewing area). NOTE- the chalkboard at the brewery... More

We reserved and picked up the 12 person shuttle only a few blocks from the cruise ship. It was a nice short drive to the brewery. When we arrived we had a presentation about the beer and the brewery's history. We were provided with 6 samples, 3 of their top beers and 3 of your choosing.

I brew beer for a hobby, and I routinely seek out craft breweries when I travel so I can hear their stories and sample their brews. When the three of us stopped by on a Sunday afternoon in late June, our car was about the only one in the lot. However, when we walked through the front door, we were... More

We have a family friend that is a Brewer there and he gave us a tour with lots of samples. We had a great time becoming informed on the brew process. I loved the green aspects that they put into their brewing. For example, making their own CO2 instead of buying it. It was a very nice time. I suggest... More
