Amazing views

Amazing views on the way up and down. great hiking trails once you are at the top. If you choose you can hike up to the top instead of taking the tramway.

it is an amazing ride, excellent view, even when it is foggy. There is a nice store at the top and they have nice souvenirs.

Stopped in Juneau as one of our ports on an Alaskan cruise. The tram was discounted from our list of excursions. so we checked it out. The gentleman operating it was a Tlingit man and told us a story with a song while he played a small drum. The ride up the mountain only take a couple of minutes, but... More

Immediately accesible from cruise ships, a must for visitors. Great Oktoberfest in late September, also a good boost for a spectacular hiking experience.

It doesn't take very long at all to get to the top BUT the view from the top is totally worth it! There are some short hiking paths (some can get steep) that lead to breath taking views. Totally recommend!

Nice ride to the top. Give you a great view of the town and water. There is a nice native gift shop and resturant at the top. Also some trails to walk

We were in Juneau on a cruise. Our ship was in port until about 10pm, and we went on the Tram about 7pm, or so. It was quite expensive, $33 per person. The trip up was smooth, and at the top there was a nice lookout, with a nice view, but not worth the money. The bald eagle exhibit had... More

My husband and I did this on 8/20/15. Big red ticket building and the tram itself are right by the cruise ship dock. During the ride up we had views of our cruise ship, the Gastineau Channel, and a bald eagle sitting in a tree. Very nice. The tramway was opened in 1996. It's the only aerial tramway in southeast... We rode up to the top and checked out the view. I think a hike would have been in oreder but we weren't really prepared for that. It was good and easy straight of the cruise ship.
