Today was awesome. We boarded The Captain Cook vessel belonging to Adventure Bound Alaska at 7:30 for the beginning of an unforgettable experience. Some of the highlights were: * amazing icebergs (even saw one roll over) * whales up close * waterfalls literally close enough to touch * the truly beautiful Sawyer glaciers * a bald eagle perched on an... The boat tour was long, but well worth it in my opinion. Once you get down to Tracy Arm, the scenery is absolutely amazing. The best part was viewing one of the glaciers for about half an hour -- while we were viewing it, we saw some calving, including a large section of one wall.

Rained most of the morning and so I think the captain made an extra effort for the passengers to get their money's worth. Even though the first glacier was pretty ice packed he really worked hard to navigate his way through to try and get as close as he could to the glacier as he could. Then the fog rolled... More

We heard great things about Tracy Arm cruise from our friends and wanted to see it for ourselves. We were a little apprehensive about 10 hour round trip and thought that it may get a little tedious. We could not be any more wrong. The trip had so many high point: never ending scenery, icebergs, glaciers, whale sightings, waterfalls, etc..... More

It started with some apprehension when it rainier the previous night, all night.. But it was a surprise and a warm welcome on Captain Cook. Steve, the Captain was welcoming and made our day memorable. His crew mates were always smiling, polite, helpful information and made our stay on Captain Cook on Tuesday a great memory. The viewing of the... More

10 hours of glaciers, wildlife, wilderness. This tour was recommended to me by another Juneau resident and he wasn't wrong. It was a wonderful day. The captain and the two crew were friendly, interesting, helpful. My brother gets seasick easily and the cruise was incredibly smooth. He had no problems. We packed our own food for the day but having... More

We saw whales & a bear walking onshore, about 50 yards from us. The scenery throughout was spectacular. The captain had a good sense of humor, the staff was very friendly & solicitous. A beautiful day. Only downside: the vendors who sold us the tickets lied about what what we would see, & the ship staff never checked on their... More

A lot of credit to the captain for snaking us through lots of ice to get us up close to Sawyer Glacier. He told us that a lot of new ice was in the water the day we were boating and he wasn't sure how close he could get but he maneuvered through. There were magnificent huge blue icebergs floating...
