Went on the Tracy Arm tour in July 2020. Weather was terrible in Juneau, and I had my doubts about going that day. The guides assured us that weather is usually better in Tracy Arm and the rain makes the ice bluer. Glad to say they were right on both accounts, so don't let rainy weather keep you from going on this tour. Views were out of this world - the ice was so blue it didn't look real. So many waterfalls that I lost count. Seats indoors are comfortable, food/drinks are super affordable and the captain/crew do anything they can to make the trip memorable. You get right up to the glaciers and ice bergs and everyone gets a view, as the captain spends lots of time rotating the ship. Highly recommend this tour if you are in Juneau.

We traveled on a tour of Tracy Arm as part of having Adventure Bound transport and drop us and our kayak at the South Sawyer glacier, and picking us up 4 days later in Tracy Arm. The tour seemed very worthwhile to the other guests, and included the best parts of Tracy Arm, including icebergs, seals, and wildlife. The Captain, Steve, did a nice job of finding wildlife, keeping the passengers informed during the trip, and keeping everyone safe. From our perspective, we really appreciated his help loading, off-loading, and retrieving our kayak. His timing was as promised, and we got good support for the drop-off and the wet pick up. The deckhands were very pleasant, and the availability of snacks and soft drinks after our trip was very welcome. For anyone planning to visit, or especially kayak, Tracy Arm, I would highly recommend using Adventure Bound.

Went on an excellent tour with captain Steve and staff. Steve was very knowledgeable about the waters and did a great job navigating around the icebergs. We had an up close view of the glacier and saw numerous seals and humpback whales, and a black bear eating mussels. I would highly recommend Adventure bound Alaska for a beautiful day on the water seeing stunning sceneries and wildlife.

Dishonest tour company. It is impossible to get a refund for this expensive tour,
We reserved the tour early February 2020 for May 2020 trip. Unfortunately we had to cancel our vacation trip due to covid-19 pandemic. We cancelled with them in March and requested for refund. We followed-up with multiple emails and phone calls. We were told that they are processing the refund but we never got any refund. We even reported this to our credit card company and they are processing the dispute now. Not sure yet whether the credit card company can help us .
We made many tour reservations for this vacation trip and we had to cancel all of them. We got refunds from all of other tour companies except for this one.

My family went on a tour of the Tracy Arm Fjord with Adventure Bound Alaska and absolutely loved our experience. Or deckhands were knowledgeable and helpful and they were great about keeping things tidy in the boat. I highly recommend purchasing a sandwich from them onboard and they have other snacks and beverages you can purchase as well at really reasonable prices. During our tour we were able to see beautiful icebergs up close, amazing waterfalls, seals, sea lions, a bear, calving at the glacier, and a bald eagle sitting atop a blue iceberg. Words can't describe how beautiful the fjord is and you will get to be up close at the glacier. We spent an hour at the glacier and I think I could have stayed there all day. Just stunning. Thanks for a great trip!

a great trip up to Sawyer's Glacier. it was hard to hear the capt talk even with the microphone. the boat was packed with possibly 1 or 2 empty spots. The crew made either turkey or ham sandwiches with 2 types of cheese, lettuce and tomatoes for $6. The bread was a bit dry otherwise lunch was ok. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate were available for $2 as well as beer (not sure of the cost). other snacks like chips and cookies were also available for purchase.

The capt was awesome getting close to several waterfalls. He moved the boat around so that everyone on board got a great view of the glacier, seal, and several blue-colored icebergs that we passed.

We happened upon this cruise by accident. We were supposed to do a Glacier Bay boat tour, but our plane out of Juneau was cancelled due to a mechanical failure, so we never made it to Glacier Bay. This tour was booked for us as an alternative. The night before our cruise we stopped at the Adventure Bound office to see where to report the next morning, and we met the captain leaving the place. He told us we got an upgrade. He was correct! We saw a mother black bear with two cubs on the shore. We saw many bald eagles, including 11 perched at the same time on the same iceberg. We saw some "huge" icebergs floating in the water well before we reached the glacier. We saw seal upon seal upon seal. (Near the glacier was "Seal City".) We had a brief sighting of a humpback whale. The glacier calved (pieces of ice breaking off into the sea) multiple times when we were there. It sounded like thunder when it calved. We saw a huge iceberg that calved off the glacier while we were there, and it went floating by our boat. The price of the cruise was extremely reasonable based on comparable tours in Alaska. The food served was great and relatively inexpensive. A turkey sandwich, loaded with a generous portion of turkey, cheese and fixings, was only $5, and it tasted great! We were very thankful for this unexpected change in our Alaska trip plans on our day of arrival in Alaska! This is one glacier cruise you don't want to miss if you are in or near Juneau.

My wife and I did the Tracy Arm Fjord & Glacier - Weekend Special tour on May 21, 2022. We booked the tour through True Alaskan Tours and it was run by the Allen Marine company. The boat cruise was from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on a sunny day with temperatures reaching 65 degrees. This is a must do tour. There were constant views of snow capped mountains as we headed south toward the fjord. A couple times we spotted whales. As we got close to Tracy Arm, we started seeing chunks of ice in the water. Tracy Arm Fjord is a spectacular sight with it's steep mountain walls, waterfalls and icebergs in the water. Three times the captain stopped the boat so we could see a bear down by the waters edge. The boat navigated through the icebergs and pulled up close to Sawyer Glacier. The deep blue ice of the glacier and ice in the water was amazing. At one point the boat maneuvered extremely close to a waterfall for photo opportunities. Lunch was supplied and the turkey sandwich I had was quite good. On the return trip we saw a couple orca whales and a small island full of barking sea lions. The boat crew was very friendly and willing to interact with the passengers. By slowing down and changing course whenever wildlife was spotted, it was obvious the Allen Marine crew tried to give the best tour possible . What an awesome day.

Captain Alyssa and this trip were the absolute highlight of our stay! Every minute of this trip was highlight reel material and we will remember for a lifetime. We saw so much in our day trip including the breathtaking sights and sounds of the glacier calving, icebergs everywhere, seals and sea lions, waterfalls and more waterfalls, eagles posing, and even a bear! In talking with the captain I told her I was praying to see a bear because we hadn't seen one in the wild yet. She spent the rest of the day with her binoculars up and found me one at the end. Only bear I saw in the wild the whole trip and meant the absolute world to me. You never really feel confined because you are free to move around the boat the entire time. My family was pretty hesitant to spend the entire day on the boat but we all agree this was the best day ever! Trip of a lifetime with an amazing Captain who makes you want to come back for more. Thank you!!!!

We took the cruise to Tracy Arm with Adventure Bound Alaska in June 2021 and were blown away by the beauty of the trip and the crew on the boat. Our captain, Alissa, was fantastic and told us everything we were seeing. The boat is small enough and Alissa is skilled enough to take advantage of an eagle or whale sighting or to take you up close to a waterfall.
