Alaskan sized adventure! This is it, the world's largest zip-line: 5,330 feet long, 1,300 foot vertical drop, 60 mph maximum speed, 300 feet highest point from ground, 1.5 minute ride time! If you are looking for true adventure then the ZipRider is for you. Unlike anything you've seen before the ZipRider cable ride at Icy Strait Point is truly a once in a lifetime experience. Your adventure begins when you board your bus for the ride to the top the mountain. Your driver will narrate as you pass through the village of Hoonah and then up the mountainside. Once on top you will take a short walk to the launching area. At 1,300 feet above sea level you will sit into a special harness seat and await your launch. Six guests launch at once, and it is a race to the bottom! 3, 2, 1 and you're off, accelerating to 60 mph as you pass 300 feet above the treetops. If your eyes are still open you will see sweeping views of Port Frederick, Icy Strait and your cruise ship far below. Your ZipRide concludes with a break-activated landing on the beach back at Icy Strait Point.Participants must be between 90 and 275 pounds and be comfortable with heights. This ride is not recommended for individuals with back or neck problems, or who are pregnant. Photos will be available at the end of your ride!

We could see the top of the zip lines from the cruise ship. Great bus ride up the hill through the town and what a view from the top. Once you get strapped in and are waiting for the gate to open, the view is breath taking. Yes the ride down is also breath taking. Would do it many more... More

Billed as the World's Largest Zipline, it did not disappoint. Here are the features to prove such: --6 lines go together --Length is almost a mile --Speeds go up to 60 mph --A 30-minute drive is required to get to the top (which also includes spectacular views!). --Companions can watch/wait at the bottom. Pricey, at $150, but deals can be... More

We took this excursion as part of a Celebrity cruise and it was the best thing we did the entire trip. The check in for the trip was the only criticism I could make as it was a little chaotic and no direction, but once we got past that, the rest of our stay was so much fun. We did... More

This zip line was one of my favorites of all time. The enjoyable part was having a 35 minute drive through the town. Our tour guide Glenn was very informational since he was a local he knew everything about the town which was very nice when we drove through the town. The zip line was a total of 90 seconds... More

My family and I just returned from a cruise for my mom’s 60th birthday. Icy Straight Point was our very first stop after departing from Seward. Glenn was one of the very first people we met and he was great. Not only did he get us safely up the mountain, (most importantly,) he narrated the entire trip up, told us... More

This was an amazing adventure with fantastic scenery - what a blast , you feel like you are flying. The sunshine made it even more enjoyable as you could see for miles. This is a must for any adrenaline junkies, even if you are scared of heights you must try it as it is a trip of a lifetime. I... More

I almost soiled my pants at the start, but after the first 5 seconds, it's like flying and it doesn't feel like you're going 60mph, probably because there's a huge cliff below you! Booking this was unclear. If you go through icystraitpoint dot com, you can buy one ride ($139) or combine the ZipRider with the ATV ($259) or whale... More

What a hoot this is. We booked it as part of a package of exploring Hoonah and so glad we did. We had a day where the top of the mountain was engulfed in cloud so even more fun not seeing where your heading till breaking out of the cloud. It was a highlight of our holiday and I would... More

Zip tour with the crew of our ship alone, nice one thus. Everybody in good spirits and the 14 large group all had fun. Personally I was a tad disappointed, it was not as scary as I thought and I went sideways all the way, could not get myself to straighten. Also landed a bit hard at the end which... More
