Eagle watch is the bonus !

We enjoyed Icy Strait Point. It is a cultural delight but it is also a spectacular location to view the Bald Eagles ! Sensational visit.

This port is a newly constructed area for cruise ship stops. The Cannery is the highlight of the stop. Built on the site of a major salmon cannery, this museum tells the story of how the salmon industry played a part in the development of this area of Alaska. See old machines, see photos and look inside the workings of... More

This port stop on an Inside Passage cruise is a must! The newly built dock keeps you from having to tender from your ship, which can be arduous at best... They have a couple of nice restaurants with fresh halibut fish and chips, chowder, etc. The evening whale watching excursion is a must, as is the zip line touted as... More

We visited from a cruise ship and took an ATV tour into the forest. Our guide Thomas was excellent, very informative and passionate about sharing his knowledge and culture. He tested us at the end and I think was pleased to see we had retained some of his shared wisdom. The memories of our visit will stay with us and... More

We booked the Icy Straight Point Zip Line prior to going on the Inside Passage Cruise and it was so much fun, a bus picked us up and gave us a commentary of the Town and dropped us off at the top of the mountain and we walked 300mtrs down to the zip line. All the staff were great and... More

This was by far one of the best things we did while in Alaska. We heard several people on our cruise say they picked another zip line excurision that lasted longer, but we have been on several multi zip lines where you walk on the suspension bridge, repel, etc... Zip RIder in Icy Strait is not the same thing. To... More

On June 8, 2016 we had the pleasure of taking the ATV tour with Thomas as our guide. It was a great tour and Thomas was a great guide. We would highly recommend the tour. You learn a lot about the the island, the natives, and especially bears!

I enjoyed this ride very much. Right when I saw it advertised in an Alaskan magazine, I knew this was something I wanted to do when in Alaska. It was a rainy day, but thankfully it quit right before our ride down. We had a nice bus ride up to the top of the hill, and then the bus driver... More

Went on the whale and marine mammals tour with Allen Marine Tours. We saw a lot of humpbacks. A lot of fluke, no breaches, but we were very happy with what we saw. It is just amazing to see the dives. The crew was amazing. The port of call was awesome. It is tiny, but I thought very high quality.... More

The shuttle up to the top of the zipline was beautiful and scenic, and our guide was a native to Hoonah and very knowledgeable about the area and its wildlife. At the top, however, my friend and I waited about 1 1/2 hours to ride the zipline. Our total wait time including the shuttle was about 2 1/2 hours. The... More
