Fantastic day trip from Homer to Seldovia. The Ferry was great. People were friendly, boarding was seamless, ride was smooth and the times were extremely convenient. I booked everything online well ahead of time which was easy. We had a bit of trouble finding the exact loading spot, but after the fact, I realized the day before our departure, I got an email (went to my spam) that outlined everything in detail and addressed any question you might have.Definitely worth it and looking forward to using the Ferry again. (I will say, there was no social distancing and people weren't wearing masks, but they're total cases since the beginning of the pandemic have totaled less than 600 to date. It seems like spread here is very low for whatever reason (of course a break out an happen at any time so it's important not to get complacent). It's hard to balance supporting the great businesses that bring in tourist dollars, and protecting the communities.

NO MASK REQUIREMENT! My issue is that the leadership/ownership of this frequented transportation do not require masks. I am living and working in Homer. I have to travel intrastate. With all the COVID outbreaks on the Kenai Peninsula and in Alaska since Memorial Day weekend; it is criminal to not require masking while in such close quarters. The ferry is small; impossible to social distance. (The Seldovia Bay Ferry web was easy to book and reminders/receipts came immediately.) The crew was OK; fairly indifferent to customers.

I will start with the wonderful views and spectacular scenery. You can sit outside or inside. Very relaxing smooth ride. I have been on several ferries in my lifetime. This was the cleanest I have ever seen. Some had masks some didn’t but it didn’t bother me at all. Recommend for all ages.

No Mask requirement even for those sitting inside the cabin! The boat itself was fine, but the lack of mask policy was crazy. There was also no social distancing policy whatsoever.
