Just ok....the building and decor was the best part. Service was less to be desired...basically had to beg for a beer and it wasn't even that busy and there was plenty of staff. Won't go again.

Small, intimate friendly saloon. Great meeting place with an authentic Alaskan feel. Interesting interior. Outdoor seating, as well. Great for ones and twos, but not groups. Tables available as well as the bar. A "must visit" when in Homer!

Everybody should have at least one drink at this famous and historic bar. Its just something you have to do when you visit Homer. But be mindful that it is the biggest tourist trap on the spit and drink prices/quality reflect this.

Saw the reviews and had to stop for a drink. Built in 1958, most of the bar is original. Log sided, low ceilings, ceilings covered with dollar bills. Bartender was friendly and attentive. Prices were reasonable for being on the Spit. It was worth the...More

I went here with a local so she could confirm her Alaska cred and buy a sweatshirt. In early May, it's not busy yet, so we took our time having a beer and doodling on a dollar bill to post. I didn't know anything about...More

It’s a real unique piece of Alaskan culture. You’ve probably seen in in the Deadliest Catch tv show in the past. It was an extremely busy place but worth a stop for a beer just to see the unmatched vibe it gives off as you...More

We stopped in as one of those "have to see" places on when visiting Homer. Dollar bills (and other currencies) ALL OVER!! Yeah, we left one, too. Just a HUGE heads up, it's CASH ONLY! That goes for drinks, souvenirs, everything. And the drinks? NOT...More

The drinks are STRONG! Like really really strong.... cash only bar. The bartenders are super sweet and the patrons are full of stories! Do yourself a favor and have a drink (seriously - be careful, the drinks are STRONG), listen to the locals, hear the...More

This place is one of my favorite places to have a beer. The feel is old time bar for local fisherman. The dollar bills pinned to the walls and rafters add to the feeling of being a part of history. This place is a must...More

I don't know about kids. Didn't see any when we were there. No food. It is definitely a dive bar.
